    Windows 8.1 App Please

The title says it all. Can we please have a windows 8.1 app???

    Re: Windows 8.1 App Please

I have never used Windows 8, so I'm not trying to be negative, I'm just curious: is this to use Vudu on a Surface? Because on a regular PC you could just browse the web site, which has the same UI as TV and BD player apps. Plus you could use VuduToGo to download movies and watch them offline.

Come to think of it, if I understand it correctly, Win8 is supposed to be the same for PCs and tablets, so you could probably run VuduToGo on a Surface. Is anyone doing that now?

I'm running one a Surface Pro, but a native Windows 8.1 app vs. Desktop mode would be nice. That said, one of the reasons I have a Pro is it will do whatever a PC will. No other tablet can claim that.

On the Pro the only real issue I've run into is I have to open a movie, then another, or I get a blank screen in full screen mode. Happens with GenieGo as well so seems to be a driver or codec issue of some kind.

Anyway I am anxiously awaiting a version that will run like a tablet application on the Surface/Win 8.1 environment. Those poor Surface RT users don't have the ability to run Vudu To Go either.

I will second this request. It is about the only app I care to run on the Surface besides the Office suite. I would like the ability to watch offline while I am traveling.

I am going to getting a Surface 2 b/c I feel based on the hardware it is the best on the market for the price. Plus I love many of the additional features you cant get elsewhere.

Apps are my biggest concern but it seems more are added all the time and I have been following it on my PC in the the store.

I have a large collection of digital content with vudu and I want be able to take that with me on the go.

vudu is the one an only app that has been holding me back but I have decided to move forward with Surface 2 anyway.

Plus it would just be nice to have an app that I could use on my laptop as well.

I got an Surface RT tablet for homework/classwork/etc when I went back to school, and I'd love a Windows 8.1 app. I spend more time gaining new vudu movies it seems like than I do actually watching any but maybe an app would help that. (I have one on my HTC One now, which is great, but real estate does matter some with movie watching).

I would concur that a Windows Store app would be great. There are apps for other viewing services which are optimized for the tablet/touch format compared to the websites. Vudu is ok thru the browser but not as touch friendly as it could be.

I am with you too. What kills me is the people that say "why not just use the web?" If that is the solution, there why are there apps for iOS and Android? I have an RT version of the Surface and VuduToGO would not work for me and yes, I too can use the web, but i wouldn't get all the benefits that Windows 8.1 offers, like Snap, Share, etc.

We say that because web browsers were made for PC's. I think having an app is redundant, especially on a Windows machine. Having "apps" for things is a fad, nothing more.

not true. Clearly you don't have a surface. Please make the app Vudu.

Not really. When you use a surface it is all about having apps just like android or an iPad. I have my Surface 2 and love it. I would not trade it for any other tablet out there. I just Wisk we had the app to make it easier and the ability to download movies to go. I can't always be connected to the net.

Having the app is not redundant. It's called Vudu 2 go. Which means just that, we are on the go and not on the NET. Please add an app so I can watch my movies when I travel.

I fully agree. Once you start using the apps on windows 8 you see how simple omen tasks can be sure it I a change from what everyone is use to but it is a great change.

Please bring VUDU to go on windows 8.
