    IR Remote Not Working

Is there any possibility that the newer Vudu Firmware hosed the IR "Dongle" functionality?

Weeks ago Vudu looked one way, had YouTube, and the IR dongle worked.

A day or two ago we fired up the box to see what new rentals are available and now no YouTube, No IR functionality, and I'm sure a few other WalMart related changes that I haven't seen yet.

Anyone else having the same issues?

    Re: IR Remote Not Working

The IR kit should still work with the new software. Make sure it is plugged in all the way until you hear the "click". After doing so, please let me know if you are still having the issue.

YouTube is no longer supported on the VUDU STB,

      Re: IR Remote Not Working

OK I found the issue which still exists. I have a harmony universal remote. I use it to control the Vudu box among other things.

The issue is that the Vudu box is no longer responding to the ON and Off commands that my remote is sending. This was working previously and I have not changed anything on the remote programming for over a year.

Once I power up the box using the Vudu remote the directional controller on the harmony remote works as it should.

I just can't power on and off the Vudu box using the harmony remote.

        Re: IR Remote Not Working

I am having the same issue with my Harmony. The on/off commands are not longer functional. But I don't have video equipment that scans for output so I didn't find it troublesome. If I had a projector this would be a problem for me.

          Re: IR Remote Not Working

Exact same problem with my Harmony Remote. I hope there is a fix soon.

Good thing walmart will take anything back. Can you have them put back the old firmware that worked and had youtube?

I was hoping it was just a bug, especially since the horiffically over priced IR receiver add on is still pretty new.

            Thanks for the update.
