Yes definitely. I have 2 Roku boxes and I can see it becoming an industry standard. Also, add HBO Go for a cable killer network.

Re: VUDU on the Roku Player

Yes please! I'd LOVE to have vudu on my Roku. I'd probably begin using Vudu almost exclusively for renting/purchasing content if I could use it on my Roku.

Re: VUDU on the Roku Player

The Roku2 can't even handle the highest bitrates that Vudu offers. So it would have to be crippled if they offered it and limited to two bar HDX and lower streaming.

If that is true and the current Roku 2 XD and/or Roku 2 XS devices (both which support 1080p) can't handle the full VUDU HDX experience, I would still like to have VUDU on at least the top-end Roku device (Roku 2 XS) to enjoy what VUDU experience it could handle.

But, for that matter, maybe VUDU could work with Roku to have an updated device that could handle the full VUDU HDX experience. It would seem to me to be a logical offering for the higher end Roku devices like the Roku 2 XD or Roku 2 XS, which promote 1080p as part of their selling points. VUDU obviously specializes in full HD.

I don't like to rent movies (because I usually feel the cost is too high) and until support on Roku or Apple TV is available, I'm very hesitant to purchase VUDU movies since my only good VUDU device is my Blu-ray player, which I'm using less and less.

Re: VUDU on the Roku Player

The Roku 2 supposedly tops out at 8mb/s Mpeg4. Three bar HDX is 9mb/s MPEG4.

Although Roku seems to come out with a new player at least every year, so maybe they will have a more powerful one released in 2012.

I'd love to see Vudu on my two Roku players.
I've got a Boxee box, but I don't like using it, and it's a bit unreliable for streaming Vudu. Sometimes Vudu just won't stream on the Boxee (I get the message about there being a network problem, and to try again later) even though the Vudu speed test shows HD or HDX speeds and I'm usually only trying to stream SD content. If I connect my computer to the same ethernet connection the Boxee is using, then Vudu will stream fine, so I'm blaming the Boxee.
The Roku is a more stable device and much more pleasant to use.
Vudu on Roku = me using Vudu much, much more.

I just bought a Roku 2 XS player. I love this little box. Best thing is that is is always being updated with new channels so that I can keep adding content. My main content provider is the all you can eat buffet from Netflix. Vudu with their recent releases would be an excellent complement to Netflix. However I won't be subscribing to Vudu until it is available on the Roku. Are you listening Vudu sales people???

Ditto on most of this, except my main content provider is HuluPlus.

Right now most of my movie streaming money is going to Amazon because I can watch the flicks on my brand new TV. I don't plan on buying another TV, a Blu-Ray player or a gaming system anytime soon.

So, Vudu needs Roku if they want to get more of my money.

Chalk up another vote for Vudu on Roku. I have it on my Samsung TV and love the 1080p content and the fact that you can buy the movie and keep it in your library.

I also would like to see Blockbuster on the Roku

one more vote from me to add a vudu channel to Roku.
As a Roku owner, I'm not going to rent vudu movies until I can stream it on my Roku.
