        Re: Leaked VUDU info?

So we hear it from Gizmodo first and not on these boards? Was it truly 'leaked' news or is 1.5 now 'unofficially' out?

I think Gizmodo leaked something....but as I posted to your other post....can't confirm and can't say anything. Its up to VUDU folks to make any official software announcements. The moderators are not employee's of VUDU. Just volunteers.

              Re: Leaked VUDU info?

Damn, so it is NOT out yet? I read Matt's post and was like, "1.5 is out? Why didn't I hear anything on the boards or the mailing list?".

Well, anyway, I commented on Giz regarding the news.

                Re: Leaked VUDU info?

The 1.5 discussion is in the public domain now on Gizmodo so our restrictions against discussing the release are lifted.

Given that Gizmodo stated one of the features of 1.5 and not any others I will narrowly comment on 1.5 based on that feature:

Yes - rental extensions are part of 1.5 and probably as Giz stated, the biggest part.

                Schultzie does know something!

Well you can check your own box. If it isn't there, then obviously they are wrong and there is no reason it should have been announced here earlier.

Vudu people are doing this now:
                    *Jedi mind-control handwave*
There IS no 1.5 update. There IS no 1.5 update....

So - does anyone else who is not in the beta team have 1.5 on their box yet?

Man, you can't get good help these days.

I bet that 1.5 is rolling out tonight if Giz has already talked about it and all...who knows though...

Nothing for me, I think. My box's left light is still yellow, but it'd turned green if the update was applied and the box rebooted.

"Vudu has just been bumped to version 1.5, and the headlining feature should make its way to every video rental setup: Extensions! If you only get halfway through No Country for Old Men (or any other flick) before the 24-hour window is up, you can extend the rental period for a discounted price, $2 off HD movies and a buck off regular ones. The option is available for a week after the flick expires, and then you have another 30 days to start watching, and 24-48 hours after you hit play. Downside is you can only extend a movie once. Still, awesome and overdue feature."
I havent heard anything about 1.5 dropping.. Anyone have it?
