    What device do you use?

I currently use a 60gb PS3 but would like another device for my bedroom hdtv. Not sure what to get between a bluray player or a roku 2. If it matters i typically rip my blurays to mkv for media center streaming playback.

So my question is what do you use and how do you like it?

I would get the Roku, there are more channels available than on a blu-ray player, and they are more customizable.

The Vizio does not support vudu or Hulu plus, from what I can tell.

I use my 320GB PS3 to stream and download movies in my living room and everyone else on the same UV account also use their PS3 to stream and download movies. I would prefer an Android app ASAP because everyone my UV accounts have an Android smart phone and tablet. I know there is a Flixster app for Android so it is net the Studio's stopping Vudu.

From what people were saying, its supposed to support Vudu via the web browser which is less than an ideal situation since its SD.

I have the Co-Star, and it does not support Vudu from the browser (like all of Android). The Co-Star has a Flixster app for your UV coillection, but that's only SD. But, the Co-Star will have M-Go when it launches so that'll provide HD streaming for your UV collection and have its own digital video store. M-Go launches sometime this year.

I use my PS3 for Vudu streaming. Also a LG Smart TV in the house too which has it.

Ok thanks for the advice. Surprisingly no one uses a bluray player.

I sometimes do, mine is a Samsung, but now that the xbox does HDX and can sort my movies, I mostly use it.

Re: What device do you use?

I use a PS3, Oppo BDP-93, LG BD590, and LG BD390 for Vudu. My primary streaming box is Google TV but I haven't found a way to stream Vudu rentals with it, although it can access the couple of Vudu movies I own with the Flixter app. I think the best Vudu boxes can download and play later, like the LG BD590, BD690 and PS3.

I play Blu-ray and DVD ten times as much as I play Vudu and want a web browser for internet streaming so a simple, easy to use but very limited streaming box like Roku isn't of interest to me. Roku is very good if the sites it can access are all you want, it offers great value and ease of use for the masses. Google TV, like the Vizio Co-Star is clunky in comparison to Roku so I understand why it isn't as popular, at least not yet.

I use my iPad, my Sony Streaming Media Player, and my Sony Blu-Ray Player which both have Vudu apps. If I were buying a new device, I would definitely get the Roku box.

                          Panasonic DMP-BDT210 Blu-ray player X 2 since March of 2011.

Works great. Also includes Amazon videos, HULU Plus, Netflix etc. etc.

I use my PS3 slim in the living room and bedroom, and while traveling, and I love the Vudu performance on the PS3. I have an OPPO 93 in my theater, but prefer to use a physical blu-ray disc when watching in there. We also use the Vudu app on our iPads, with mixed results.

My 55 inch 3D LG has the Vudu app built in so I use it in the main TV room. In my upstairs bedroom I have the PS3. I am hoping I will get the Roku 2 for Christmas so I can have Vudu for my office TV.
