I made a thread about this in the User Suggestions area. Vudu currently doesn't support PayPal, though I think it really should. Sorry, it's limited to credit and debit cards right now.

They currently accept credit cards and debit cards that have the Visa, Mastercard, and American Express logo. It would be nice if they accepted Discover since the Discover cards that are issued from Discover let you create secure one merchant Discover card numbers. Bank of America's Visa credit card I think offers the same feature.

I would love to see Paypal as an option. It would be so much easier for me.

Why not get a refillable Visa or Mastercard?

This was my thought as well.

A little OT, but I don't get the paranoia surrounding using cards online. Vudu, just like Paypal, has a vested interest in keeping your card number/bank account info safe, just like any other place you may go off-line.

On top of that, and I'm sure this is the case with Vudu, the card numbers themselves aren't stored anyway. It's usually stored in the DB encrypted. So even if someone hacked the DB, they'd just have a bunch of random text for the card number. The actual keys to decrypt the information should be, and hopefully are, on a separate server away from both the web application and the database server.

I've been shopping on-line for a good 15 years and I can count on one hand the amount of times my card has been "compromised". And in each case, I get both my fraudulent purchases (which has yet to happen; banks are pretty vigilant about this stuff, especially these days) refunded and a card with a new number.

I find it odd that I still hear people looking for ways to keep their card/bank details (things that are easily changed/replaced) safe on-line, but don't have the same concern about personal information. I honestly don't care if someone gets my card number of bank account number. I'm only worried when some random dirtbag knows where I live.

I wouldn't disagree myself. PayPal is probably easier and perhaps a bit more secure.

Bigger thing is that "fee free" refillable cards are getting harder and harder to come by.

Why not get the PayPal MasterCard that is linked to your PayPal account and then you would be all set ?

I would like to connect and use my Venmo Mastercard or Cash App Visa loadable cards but it won't let me. It will let me use my 5/3rd bank Access loadable card however.
