How to manually organize your movies?

    How to manually organize your movies?

    I understand you can alphabetically do it and all but that doesn't always work, for example I have Jurassic Park trilogy. 2 movies are right next to each other however The Lost World doesn't start with a J.

    I wish it would be alphabetical but was also smart enough to keep movies together (Part 2 or The Lost World depending...)

    I have all eight Harry Potter films. In "A to Z" sorting mode, there is no problem. They get grouped together.

    However, the Disney Nature films get scattered all over. This is where a "Bundle & Save" collection is helpful.

    I have the Mission Impossible collection. I have my eye on the James Bond collection and Star Trek bundles for the same reason.

    Like you, I prefer to have all movies of a single brand grouped next to each other.

      The only way to "manually organize" your movies are when you are adding them to your collection =(

      Say I have 6 movies (using Vudu's names on the titles):

      ==================================================
      Jurassic Park 1
      Lost World: Jurassic Park 2
      Jurassic Park 3
      Invincible Iron Man
      Parental Guidance
      Batman: Year One
      ==================================================

      In order to successfully "manually" organize these, you have to ADD THEM IN REVERSE ORDER. The newest items are ALWAYS added to your collection FIRST!

      So if you add in this order:

      Parental Guidance --> Purchase
      Jurassic Park 3 --> Purchase
      Lost World: Jurassic Park 2 --> Purchase
      Jurassic Park 1 --> Purchase
      Invincible Iron Man --> Purchase
      Batman: Year One --> Purchase

      Then your movies will be in order: Batman - Invincible Iron Man - Jurassic Park 1 - Lost World - Jurassic Park 3 - Parental Guidance

      This only works if you purchase them ONE by ONE. If you do a D2D queue and you have 100 movies in it, that will always be alphabetized by VUDU's standards of naming (which is not always the best).

      For example, I did a set of 40 movies the other day and it came up with this

      That's Entertainment
      That's Entertainment III
      That's Entertainment, Part II

      =\, totally incorrect and I wish I caught it. Oh well, and at least they are added!
