    Vudu New Film Releases

First, let me say that I really appreciate having the new store front for New Film Releases that allows us to see all new titles being added to Vudu. The only problem I have with this list is that I can't really figure out how it's sorted. I think it's sorted by the date the movie was released, but it would REALLY be great if this list was sorted by the date the movie was added to Vudu. I know that 6 new movies were added today, but there is no way to know what those titles are. So if you are adding a movie today that was released in say 1990 it would be at the very top of the list.

It would also be great if there was something like this for Disc-to-Digital. It too would need to be sorted by date added for D2D.

+1 on the D2D request. I am sure Mr. FMBB would agree.

      Re: Vudu New Film Releases

So what happened to our New Film Releases? Has it been eliminated?

I found it to be VERY useful and because of it I found three older titles that are now available on Vudu. Without it we have no way to know what new titles are being added on an almost daily basis.

        Re: Vudu New Film Releases

I entered a case this past weekend asking to get the New Film Releases store front back, or a way to sort the movies by the "date added to Vudu". This morning it's back!

        Thanks again Vudu!

I see another Jackie Chan movie has been added...I will have to get that next payday.

          Re: Vudu New Film Releases

I logged in this morning, as I do every morning, to see what new titles were added to Vudu and found the "New Film Releases" had been removed again. I opened a new case requesting that it be added back so we have visibility of new films being added on a daily basis.

I will check it tomorrow, but I am sure it will be like last time they added this...it will show 18 titles until the following Tuesday. When they had the "New Film Releases" up you could check it daily and see that new titles are being added every day, even weekends.

It is through that store front that I was able to know that Day of the Dead and three more Jackie Chan movies were added. Without it we are blind regarding older movies.

It all depends on how many movies are going to be released. Some weeks are light so that section is removed. You will see it off and on from time to time.

                  Re: Vudu New Film Releases

You can always see new movies that are added each week by going to the blog each Tuesday, and they do list catalog titles that are added there.

What "blog"? And why only Tuesdays when new titles are added daily? If you can direct me to this "blog" you mention I will check that out to see if it will work.

I found that blog you are talking about on the internet. It doesn't contain ALL new movies added for the entire week. Their New Film Releases did.

I can tell that 11 movies were added to Vudu this morning. The "New To Own" still shows the same 18 movies that it showed yesterday. Without the "New Film Releases", that was removed again yesterday, there is no way to see what these titles are.

I looks like they missed the last two weeks, but usually they post each weeks new movies added, even old ones.

Not all of them. I went back through all their archives and I don't see where they ever mentioned adding the three Jackie Chan movies or the movie Day of the Dead.

That really sucks, because if the database is structured properly it should be easy to set up a filtered view that automatically updates when the database is updated. And I know I'd love to have that information available, too.
