Cannot install VUDU To Go on Windows 8.1

    The error code is:

    Sorry, an error has occurred.

The application could not be installed. Try installing it again. If the problem persists, contact the application author.

    Error# 1009

I think it has difficulty installing Adobe AIR. The filesize of vudutogo.exe is only 3.3 MB while the filesize of Adobe AIR is about 17.3 MB.

How come the download of VUDU To Go is only 3.3 MB whereas Adobe AIR is already 17.3 MB. Is the vudu.com server serving out corrupted vudutogo.exe files?

Help! I still can't install VUDU To Go. It seems that there is a problem with the installer.

Try installing the latest version of Adobe Air from Adobe's web site and then retry installing the Vudu-To-Go software.

I can't install Adobe AIR 4.0 first. It will result in an error when I am installing VUDU To Go.

Guess I'm not following. Adobe Air is required to install Vudu-to-Go so it has to be installed first or already installed. In my experience, if the version of Adobe Air that is already installed is too old, based on what V2G requires, then the installation chokes and it won't automatically install the latest version of Adobe Air thus killing the V2G installation process with it. I was able to resolve the problem by installing the latest version of Adobe Air from Adobe's web site and then retried the V2G installation and everything went smoothly. Don't know if you're having the same issue but the error message appears to be identical to the one I had seen previously.

What version of Adobe Air is currently installed on your machine?

Sorry if you've mentioned this previously.

Which browser are you using to download AIR and Vudu To Go?
