    Disney launches Movies Anywhere

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/m...rvice/5800769/

So after essentially killing off KeyChest back in 2012, the system is apparently alive once again and, unsurprisingly, tied to iTunes (at least for now).

Looks like DC+ was just a stepping stone. I think it's fair to say that any remaining sliver of hope that Disney would eventually join UV has been crushed.

The terms request you to agree that Disney will share your movie collection and data with third-party streaming providers, which is pretty board and not iTunes exclusive. I hope that means VUDU at least. Extremely disappointed that Disney took years to finally launch this and begins with one provider. VUDU would've been the best choice.

Oh well, there goes any chance at UV like you said. I knew Disney would never join Ultraviolet. They are control freaks and wouldn't want someone else in charge. It looks like Walter's hopes are destroyed. He has been pretty confident they would buckle.

One thing we have to remember is the Disney's CEO, Bob Iger sits on Apple's board.

I already had an account with Disney Rewards, so I did take advantage of the free movie. We'll see how it goes.

But I am disappointed, needless to say with their decision.
