hit the 1200 mark, is this an obsession for anyone else

Ok I admit it, sometimes I am not always buying for quality over quantity

I have seen in other forums some people mentioning 2000 to 3000 movies in their collection

    Whats your number?

I wish Vudu would have a contest to give you every movie available in the current catalog !!!

Yes, it is an obsession for me, and I think many others who frequent this forum a lot. My library currently stands at 1343. Recently the rate of my additions to my collection have slowed way down though as I try to control myself a little more and the simple fact that there aren't many movies left that I really want (except for new releases that come out and movies in my wish list and "not on vudu" list that become available). I log into vudu EVERY day and sometimes multiple times a day, so it is definitely an obsession for me!

I just went over the 1500 movie mark, and I would definitely say that it's an obsession for me. My collection would be even larger if studios like MGM, Touchstone, Dimension, Dreamworks and Disney were on board. I probably have close to 200 more titles from those studios that I would love to add to my collection. And don't get me started on the TV shows that I would love to convert! Are there any plans to convert TV shows anytime in the future, what's the hold up?

You have no idea... I have been sucked in...LOL I am at just over 400 and going strong! Hitting a lot of bumps along the way with the "Beta" home feature, but find myself uploading stupid movies and buying a lot of $5.00 movies just so I can stream them.... Thanks VUDU... :0)

sadly, it is beyond all semblance of normalcy.

I am an endorphin junkie who seeks his next lobotomizing euphoria from crystalline 1080p major motion picture playback.

All else is but background noise.

I think I'm getting into the obsessive arena as well but am going to have to force myself to slow down. The monthly specials are sometimes too much for me to pass up...

I agree. It is borderline criminal to sell Apocalypse Now HDX for $7.99. Who can say "no" to that if it is not a title you already own? The Vudu marketing folk know how to go for the jugular.

                  No question there...

I agree at first for me, it was more about buying in bulk, and building the library. Now i hit the 300 movie point and i'm starting to slow down. I find myself starting to track down 3rd rate movies, and at that point, I need to switch to more quality over quantity.

I must say the 7.88 specials are not tempting at all to me. If they had some MGM/Disney/TV Titles than maybe, but in most cases i'd rather do D2D.

Now i'm starting to look for more TV titles, along with the Rocky Collection, Pirates of the Caribbean collection, Kingpin, Celtic Pride.

But yes, it's sucked me in too.
