Cool. I'm at Walmart now. They don't seem to know what I'm talking about.

No reviews online yet either, perhaps it was stocked prematurely

I did find the Chromecast. There was no space near it for the Spark, no tags or anything. If it was in the store, it wasn't there. Obviously that's a good place to stock it. The funny part is, they were stocking that department when I was there. I wasn't up to waiting to see what was in the boxes. I can't even find the Spark on Walmart's website.

That sucks. Makes me feel like I should buy out their inventory, sell on amazon for $35 apiece :-)

At stores that carry the device, it should be stocked in the new release movies.

Re: VUDU branded "Spark" Streaming Stick...

BTW, the Vudu app interface on the streaming stick is pretty basic, but functional. Not as bad as on the Roku, but not as nice as on PS3. Luckily it's not the abomination of an app that is available on Android.

Remote looks childish, probably about same quality as the Nexus Player remote (i.e. - cheap), but is functional. Buttons are rubber, and when navigating, *once in awhile* the nav will stick.

That said, actually using the device is fine. It'll scratch my itch, at least until Vudu creates an app for FireTV perhaps :-)

Re: VUDU branded "Spark" Streaming Stick...

Vudu is the only streaming service I use, so Roku would be overkill for me. At a net cost of only a few dollars, it's a no brainer. And if I could easily take it with me when I travel, even better. I have been in a hotel where they block Vudu. Not cool!

Back to Walmart, different store. No Spark here either. Add another employee to the list who doesn't know what I'm talking about.

Yup. What I'd really like is a SKU, so they can look it up.

Yippee! The department manager had them behind the counter. He wasn't sure if he was allowed to sell them yet. He scanned it, and it worked. I bought 2.
