    Alpha - Subtitle Issue

This was the same problem with 'Skyscraper'.

The "forced" subtitles for the dialog are not appearing. You can only see what the people are saying by turning on Closed Captioning, which then includes audio cues like animal sounds, and can be very distracting.

For those interested in watching Alpha properly, and have their Movies Anywhere account setup, they can watch it correctly on services like Amazon.

Amazon is the best option? I watched with the closed captoining on and it wasn't bad or distracting. Just took a minute to get used to. But yea I found it odd that I needed to turn on CC, I watched about 20 minutes of the movie before realizing I should turn them on.

I imagine other Movies Anywhere partners should work, assuming they have the correct subtitles like Amazon.

I know it's not impossible to watch the movie on Vudu with the CC subtitles, but if all it takes to watch the "right" version is to switch apps, I'll go ahead and do that.

Why don't all the streaming vendors get the same video/audio file for the movies? If they all got the same file from the studios, then one vendor wouldn't have subtitle issues while others don't? I don't get it!

        174 UHD
        827 HDX
        3 SD

Some movies are drastically different between services, but that is typically something older. Jackie Chan's Thunderbolt comes to mind, with different title card, subtitles, etc. I would be surprised if a new title like this was different between Vudu and Amazon. Since this subtitle issue happened when Skyscraper was released, too, I think that Vudu just doesn't have their Forced subtitles turned on for these titles when first released.
