    Vudu UK

I know that many people may be sick of hearing about this, but when will Vudu be in the UK?

When I got my account I originally didn't realise that it wasn't meant to be available in the UK (My own fault). By the time I learned that, I was addicted. We already have ASDA here which is owned by Walmart, so why not Vudu? I want my Amazon Firestick to view my Vudu items. I want to be able to have D2D, even if I have to go instore to get it. I even tried installing the Flixter App to do it on there, but apparently that is only available in the US too. (If Vudu beat Flixter to it, I think that they could make a killing!).

I know that there are licensing issues or whatever, but are there even any plans to have it over here? I love vudu so much, but I am considering switching to just buying from Amazon instant just out of ease.

I live in the US and the Amazon Firestick does not have the Vudu application on it so you can't view Vudu items on the Firestick.

You can open an account with any of the UK UV partners, and link it to your UV account, you will be able watch all of your UV movies from vudu in the UK on whatever devices they support, which include Game Consoles, Roku boxes, and Smart TV's.

        Re: Vudu UK

        I don't think I was clear, sorry!

I have a Vudu account, I've been using it for a while now. I sideloaded the android app onto my Kindle Fire.

Because I am in the UK I can't stream or use Disc to Digital. The rest of it would just be pluses.

I was wondering when Vudu would OFFICIALLY come to the UK, if even? And if it would bring with it the ability to stream instead of downloading, and if we'd get the D2D service that I so desperately crave!

Mitch Singer, the Head of DECE / UV is pushing for a new view on geo-location for the consortium. It is in the works, but till then, sadly, Vudu is a stateside service.

Do that and you'll get banned and your account shut down permanently. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
