I'll even go so far to predict that most new releases will not be available to stream on Disney+ right away. They know that we digital collectors will shell out the bucks for the latest Marvel & Pixar titles on release day. I doubt they'll want to lose out on the revenue of $20-$25 per title if you can just pay the $10 subscription fee & watch the day they are released. Disney may suck, but they're not stupid.

Fantastic! That means finding just one that you read should be a breeze. They probably can still be found in your browser history as well.

I was just kidding. There are no such articles.

I always forget how sarcasm doesn't really play well in writing.

I think you might have posted that without having read the thread.

My request comes from Deviancy's claim in a lengthy post that he has read various articles that says Vudu is going to stop selling Disney titles once Disney+ starts. He has repeated that claim in subsequent posts.

Myself and others think this is absolutely untrue and yes, I did double check to make sure nothing like that had been reported. I of course found nothing.

That is why I am respectfully asking him to post at least one of the articles he claims to have read that back up what he is saying.

Disney recently announced that AVENGERS ENDGAME will be available on D+ in mid December I believe. This will be aprox. one month after DVD release. This may be a good indication of the release model they will have with D+. A one month exclusive window for physical release. slightly longer for digital purchase.

It'll be longer than that after the physical release. Endgame will likely release in early to mid August on Blu-ray and DVD. That would be keeping in line with the delay from theater to physical on other MCU movies.

As Navigator said above, that window is looking more like 4-5 months.

Even if it WAS one month, it's not like it adds any credence to the idea that Disney+ is going to abandon Vudu, which is what my statement pertains to,

Yeah, Disney is 100% not going to stop outright selling you copies of a single movie because of Disney+. The ONLY way Disney MIGHT ever stop selling movies on Vudu is if they started up their own digital streaming service that allows movie purchases the way Vudu does. And that is highly doubtful considering they're the ones behind Movies Anywhere.

Disney is starting their Disney+ streaming service this fall and they're going to make all Disney content exclusive to Disney+. In short, Star Wars films won't be available to buy on Vudu sooner or later. You'll get to keep the titles you already own I imagine, but once Disney+ starts even the older SW films will probably not be available to buy on Vudu anymore. I know for sure that the Disney content will be removed from Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon but the articles I've read don't mention Vudu but I imagine it will affect Vudu regadless. They also somehow got exclusive rights to the Simpsons so once Disney+ starts, The Simpsons will only be available to stream on Disney+. I imagine if you bought episodes on Vudu already you'll get to keep those but you won't be able to buy future episodes once Disney+ starts, according to various articles.

                            Disney sucks...
This is wholly untrue and you have no idea what you are actually talking about.

Disney titles will still be available for sale (digital and physical) as well as rent (digital) for some time to come. Physical media (cd, dvd, bluray, video game cartridges/discs) has been dying for years but it is not gone yet. And Disney is not going to walk away from the money of traditional and established channels to force everyone to only get their content on Disney streaming services.

BTW Disney owns a large share of Hulu (after buying FOX for over $70 BILLION this year) so there will still be Disney owned content on Hulu. Not everything will ?appropriate? for the future Disney streaming service, nor does Disney expect 100% of the world, or even Hulu suns scribers to sign up for the Disney stream service, especially since its not available everyone, nor can the whole world afford it.
