Vudu Forum Guidelines

The Vudu Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Vudu experience. Here, Vudu customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Vudu and Vudu -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc). Although the primary purpose of these forums is to help Vudu customers with questions and/or problems with their VUDU service, there are also off-topic areas available within the Vudu Forums for users to chat with like-minded people, subject to the limitations below.

Please post all comments in English. When posting a comment in the Vudu Forums, please conduct yourself in a respectful and civil manner. While we respect that you may feel strongly about an issue, please leave room for discussion.

Vudu reserves the right to refrain from posting and/or to remove user comments, including comments that contain any of the following:

1. Obscenities, defamatory language, discriminatory language, or other language not suitable for a public forum
2. Email addresses, phone numbers, links to websites, physical addresses or other forms of contact information
3. "Spam" content, references to other products, advertisements, or other offers
4. Spiteful or inflammatory comments about other users or their comments
5. Comments that may potentially violate the DMCA or any other applicable laws

Terms of Use - User Comments, Feedback, Reviews, Submissions

For all reviews, comments, feedback, postcards, suggestions, ideas, and other submissions disclosed, submitted or offered to Vudu, on or through this Site, by e-mail or telephone, or otherwise disclosed, submitted or offered in connection you use of this Site (collectively, the "Comments") you grant Vudu a royalty-free, irrevocable, transferable right and license to use the Comments however Vudu desires, including, without limitation, to copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and/or sell and /or distribute such Comments and/or incorporate such Comments into any form, medium or technology throughout the world.

    Missing content/movies

    Wondering if anyone else is having these issues with VUDU or if I'm just the lucky one. I have over 180 titles that I purchased through VUDU's disc to digital several years ago go missing in the last 6 months. I have had the run-around with tech support stating these titles are Movies Anywhere and they need to reinstate them even though I have proof through the purchase history provided by VUUD that they were purchased through VUDU and even before Movies Anywhere became into being. I have shown the original date of purchase and a second date; which I assume is when the account linked between ultra-violet, Movies Anywhere, VUDU etc... All VUDU was telling me is it was a known issue and to be patient. That was 3 months ago, every 2 weeks to month I would request an update and complete silence from VUDU. So a few days ago I checked the support page to see if there where any updates only to find my complaint was closed; without resolution or notice to me. So i sent another follow up question with request for contact, checked again today and that was closed without contact. What is going on VUDU!

    Anyone else having these issues or problems with VUDU and/or lost content?

    I am also going through the same problems, with having over 300 titles go missing from my account as well just over the last weekend.


      Did you happen to switch between different MA accounts? Some folks for some reason mistakenly create multiple MA/UV accounts and unlink from the account with those movie and lose them in the process.

      If you purchased those titles through D2D then you can't lose them, they stay on your account unless you call in and have them deleted/refunded. You probably have another account somewhere, they are probably all there.


        I only have one account for MA, UV, VUDU, Google, Fandango and no duplicates or re-creations. I have never un-linked the accounts between VUDU, MA and UV. I've only ever had one VUDU account and that hasn't been changed or altered. The movies show up in my purchase history of the VUDU account and are now gone from my library. What is weird is they have two purchase dates, one back in 2014 and another in 2018 when I assume MA linked in.

          I don't know whether this will help you or not, but I recently had to re-confirm all of my linked accounts through MoviesAnywhere. Until I did, movies that would appear in Vudu from other vendors were inaccessible.

          It's something that has to be done periodically through MoviesAnywhere to maintain the connections between accounts. If you need to do it, MoviesAnywhere should tell you with a pop-up as soon as you access your account information.


            The weirdest part is that it shows up in your purchase history. If possible can you provide a screenshot of both the 2014 and 2018 transactions for the same title?
