    Instawatch is becoming a disappointment

I used to be that if you preordered titles on Walmart.com that many would instwatch as soon as they became available in digital. Just off the top of my head, I know that Peanuts Movie was one such title.

Recently I preordered Deadpool, Hail Caesar, King Fu Panda 3 and now 10 Cloverfield Lane. Not a single one of them has instawatched. Instawatch was such a nice thing for these preorders. It's a shame to see so few participating these days. I'd absolutely love to watch 10 Cloverfield Lane tonight, but to buy it outright on Vudu would be a total waste of money seeing as I am planning to buy the Blu-Ray anyway.

I pre-ordered the Kung Fu Panda 3 Blu-ray through Vudu instead of Walmart and it gives you the digital now with all of the extra features and ships the disc when it comes. Doesn't seem to be an option on many other movies unfortunately. They used to do this in store and have basically stopped. I haven't pre-ordered through Walmart.com before but that is unfortunate that instawatch is no longer working as before as I would get everything through Walmart/Vudu if it did.

How do I order a Blu-Ray through Vudu?

The issue with buying through Vudu is that it won't let you add many titles to a basket to avoid shipping costs. You can only pay for one title at a time and pay for shipping.

Oddly enough I wasn't even aware of this.

Either way I don't see titles with advance purchase. It's all stuff that's past the street date. It also seems confusing as to which you get DVD or Blu-Ray. It also seems that the combo pricing is cheaper then the digital only price for some reason.

I didn't have to pay for shipping. It was included.

Instawatch is a disappointment. Three months ago purchased "Green Zone" and "The Kingdom" with Instawatch. Only one movie was Instawatch. Took Three Months to tell me studio decides and that "the ad online did not say all movies were covered". VERY Disappointed in Walmart, VUDU, and even the Universal Studio for false/misleading statement. More disappointed in Three Months to address.

It's becoming more of a joke recently.

I pre-ordered Power Rangers 4K from Walmart. It was InstaWatching before, porting to Vudu. Then they changed it and pre-orders would not port early. Now they fixed the regular Blu-ray, so it ports via InstaWatch again, but the 4K release still isn't.

I also ordered The Marine 5 today, which has no UV code and the only way to watch it on Vudu is if you buy it from Vudu or get it via InstaWatch. It includes InstaWatch if bought in-store, but placing an order online has got me nothing so far. If it doesn't InstaWatch by the time I pick it up Tuesday, I will just return it at the time of pick up. I only watch movies on Vudu, and if these aren't going to port correctly, no reason for me to keep them.

It's never worked right. They're have always been constant problems. If and when anything got fixed there was always something else wrong. I've purchased thousands of dollars of InstaWatch.

I gave up of it a long time ago.

If I buy anything it's only the Physical Disc + Digital on the Vudu website. It's basically the Vudu version of the Walmart InstaWatch but it works way better. Does it have problems, regular ones that never seem to get resolved. Either way it's still heads and shoulder above the WM Instawatch.

Problem is that Vudu isn't big enough and they keep trying to add more options for consumers which I love and is one of the reasons I stay with them. That said they don't have the resources to fix things and often don't fix things or abandon the project.

Does the Disc + Digital include a UV copy with the disc when it arrives? I would have gone that route with Power Rangers, but they don't offer the 4K disc. This is my first 4K purchase, sad seeing as how it's not working 100%. I know a few others I did buy with InstaWatch worked, but I think I won't be risking it anymore.

With the D+D you get the retail disc so as long as it has Digital HD / UV then yes you get it with yours in the mail. Yeah, unfortunately it isn't offering 4k UHD discs.

Me too, I started doing some InstaWatch back when they started but it had so many problems I stopped using that almost as soon as it started. Same thing with the Vudu Spark, I bought it and kept returning for another but they all kept having problems so stopped using it altogether.
