FN to Vudu Merge and some regular titles missing and all 3D titles gone

    FN to Vudu Merge and some regular titles missing and all 3D titles gone

    I bought a handful of 3D titles on the FN VR app, paid extra for them too due to 3D. Those movies are all on Vudu, but not the 3D versions. Even though Vudu does not support VR with any app, I did figure out how to view Vudu 3D titles in the Oculus browser and that has the option to view in 3D. So it matters to me that titles I paid extra for 3D I no longer have in that format. What did FN say about the merge? "don't worry you won't lose any of your FN titles". Turns out to be a lie. I see many posts of things not merging over due to licensing and other issues. There needs to be credits given for people who lost titles they paid for at FN. I lost some 3D titles I bought at Vudu a while back too when they began to shrink their 3D library. Paid extra to own those too, with no credit for losing what I paid for.

    There could have been a better job of merging the titles and merging the best of both services' offerings. Just when VR is starting to really take off and interest in 3D movies is returning, Vudu continues to not look forward and shun that market. FN saw that it was a place for revenue. But FN generally had crappy software and Vudu pretty good. Vudu is lousy on the PC as their DRM method often prevents the UWP app and browser from working correctly on the PC. FN worked fine in all browsers at HD quality on the PC.

    What a mess, some poor decisions.

    I just randomly noticed that Rise of the Planet of the Apes is no longer listed as purchased for me even though it was one of my very first VUDU movies added to my collection. There's probably more movies missing but that's all I noticed so far

    should we just wait until they iron things out or riot now?

      I don’t know if they’re actually still working I. Things in the background or not. Maybe specific known issues.

      I definitely wouldn’t rebuy anything right now; but just open tickets. Not thing is I’d say only about half of the tickets I’ve opened over the last decade ever got resolved. I’ve got tickets open now that haven’t even been responded to yet, besides the automatic response. Tickets also automatically get closed after so long. But I’ve had those tickets too where I have to keep adding comment asking what’s going on every week or so just to keep it open and still don’t get response.

      I have to imagine they are drastically more busy then usual, pre merger.
