Pricing Screwed Up - $4.99 Weekly Movie Deals

Was looking to buy a few dozen movies in the $4.99 sale this week but at least half of them are NOT $4.99.

Most of the titles I tried to buy are coming up not where near $4.99.

Add to the errors that the several I tried to add to cart just come back with an error that says offer is no longer available.

SERIOUSLY the mismanagement of pricing has been getting worse an worse.

Another prime example I’m seeing titles where the SD purchase option several dollars above the SD+HDX or SD+HDX+4K offers; and these titles AREN’T on sale either. So even the NON sale titles has screwed up pricing.

I would list examples but it appears to just be rampant across the board. I mean I’m here to help out and not just complain but this is getting absurd.

I have an entire Apple ecosystem in my houses; but I’m seriously considering switching platforms at this point. And I’ve got thousands of purchases with Vudu.

I couldn't agree more. This is why I have only been buying MA titles elsewhere. I can't give my full support to a company that doesn't seem to value its customer base. Incorrect pricing, unable to remove titles because it was "once' UV" and the lack of customer service via chat and email. I gave up trying to get help, won't even waste my time calling, as I was on hold for over 60 minutes the last time.

Are they still the wrong price now? I see that you posted this on Tuesday morning at 01:34AM. That's usually way too soon for sale prices to be ready.

The sale prices update Tuesday throughout the night and usually aren't ready until later in the morning. It's like the prices begin changing at midnight but it takes all night for everything to be ready. Makes me wonder if someone is manually changing them when the clock strikes 12.

Perhaps it's early. But the sale category groupings shouldn't show up before the pricing. If anything the sale pricing should appear first and then the sale category groupings. In this day and age there is no reason it can't all hit at once. Companies often maintain two websites - one not live and being worked on and one live. They just swap at a set time. Being on West Coast where Vudu is(or was) they often have stuff up at 11PM the night before.

No, they have been updated now. Or at least all the ones I checked.

But lets think about this. If this was any other company and you received a now on sale email, or posting on the website, wouldn't you except they prices to be reflected after seeing that?

The exception would be if there was a note stating effective at a set time - like noon.

There’s a pricing problem right now. They currently have a sale advertised on their site as Christmas Weekend UHD Sale with a total of 690 titles listed. There are several titles—one of which I want to buy—that don’t have the orange sale bar on them and they’re still at regular price. I tried reporting the problem through their chat with agent feature but he didn’t know what he was doing and just said the title I wanted wasn’t on sale. He had no answer for why it was on the sale page if it wasn’t on sale other than to say maybe they put it there because it’s a Christmas movie. (I’ve seen the movie twice and Christmas is never mentioned or even hinted at.)
