    Site Loading Times

While these free 4K upgrades are great, the majority of Vudu users seem to be increasingly frustrated at the loading time of Vudu.

When I'm on my phone it can take up to 10 minutes for a url to load in some situations. By the time the url loads, I have forgotten what I was trying to buy and usually give up. Vudu is frequently unusable through a mobile browser for me. Which since I have an iPhone is the only way I can purchase on my phone/computer.

Even using a web browser like Chrome or Edge, loading times are significant and I'm constantly waiting several seconds for something to load when previously this would be instantaneous. I have tried multiple devices, tried clearing my cache, and multiple browsers yet I continue to experience these long load times.

Vudu is my primary platform and so much of that was because of the seamlessness of the experience which is now a cause for concern.

Are there any plans to decrease this loading time in the future? The loading time for Roku, etc is also increased, but seems to be better than the website lately anyway.

Thanks for the post! I agree. I even have to wait up to 20 seconds before I can type in the search bar.

      Desktop:

      - Browsing Movies: Every time I click on a movie, I get the loading screen of death -- That blank page with the four spinning dots in the center of the screen. It can take anywhere from 5-20 seconds to load each and every page.

Also, what was the reason to have Thumbnails no longer show any useful information when you hover over them? I thought, perhaps to reduce the load time this valuable information was removed, but the website is even slower than before. Now all it shows is the Title, Date and Quality you purchased it in. Before it would show Running Time, whether it was Movies Anywhere Eligible and also the sale price when browsing the sales pages. Now I have to click on each title and sit through the loading screen of death just to see this information. It's almost discouraging to want to browse and shop on the website due to the slowness.

      - Browsing TV Series. It's become annoyingly slow browsing between seasons, regardless if you own or you're browsing for purchase. As with the loading screen of death for movies, I not only get that in my TV Library but I also now have to wait an additional 5-20 seconds for the entire season episodes to filter in. When I click on a page and need to go to the next season, the process is repeated -- loading screen of death, slow episodes filtering in. Why is this so slow?!

      Mobile:

Despite the new UI update saying it's a sleeker, cleaner faster freshest awesome new look, it's still slow and clunky. Plus -- the new mobile update removed a key feature I used frequently - Clearing out your Watch List. In fact of all the features on mobile, it's the one I probably used and relied on the most. For years, the previous design you could go to your watch list and hit the "X" icon and it would reset each title whether a movie or television episode to the beginning. This was now removed once the app updated and now as far as I can tell, the "Continued Watching" (that replaced the Watch List) has no way of resetting a movie or episode.

When I launch Vudu on a Roku Ultra, it takes over 2 minutes to launch. Pretty ridiculous because it used to launch in about 5 seconds. Same results on an older Roku Ultra and a Roku Express.

Yep. This is getting increasingly annoying. When this first occurred a couple of months ago - I thought that it was just my PC, but nope.

The website is really a slog to get through. Slow load times, decreased responsiveness, and high frustration. Whatever was done to the site, turn it back.

Hear hear. It’s like that dmv scene with sloth from Zootopia. Takes forever for page to load

I agree with all of this! From the delays to type in the search bar to the blank screen of death with the 4 rotating circles to the removal of valuable info when you hover over a title, the Vudu website experience has become increasingly frustrating over the past couple of months. The primary focus of the business model should be ease of the customer to purchase a title and the website has become anything but that!
Also, what was the purpose of having trailers automatically start playing without prompting them. If this is what is causing the loading issues please reconsider the trailer auto play. I am 99% sure that Vudu users would much rather prefer a user interface without delays opposed to a trailer that we didn't prompt to watch.

The ridiculously slow loading has actually saved me a lot of money. They have stopped my impulse buying where I would be excited to purchase a certain title, go the movie page and purchase it. But now by the time I get to the movie page, I have plenty of time to think about it and lose interest in purchasing it. So Vudu has lost a lot of $$$ from me.
