The Arrival is supposed to be Instawatch on Walmart.com ... but it's not.

The movie gets it's digital early release this coming Tuesday. I sure hope they get the Instawatch working by then.

The frustrating thing is that Walmart won't cancel orders anymore. They always mark orders as "Cancellation requested - We'll do our best to stop this item from shipping.", but they NEVER EVER actually cancel it. It ALWAYS ships. Then I need to take it to the store as a return. But when Instawatch doesn't work, the only thing you can do is cancel your order and try reordering it a 2nd time because Vudu customer service doesn't respond to tickets anymore. As a result I end up getting about 4 copies of the same disc mailed to me and I have to go to the store to return all but the last one (aka, the one that finally instawatched)

Yes, that happened to me on my last Walmart order where it wouldn't cancel. As a result, I've stopped ordering from Walmart.

After Vudu cancelled my last preorder without my permission and invalidated my code I just absolutely refuse to buy anymore preorders. I'll just wait till the movie comes out. Which is sad because I have close to 2,500 movies and buy movies all the time but when a company screws over a loyal customer and refuses to even acknowledge that they screwed up its either take your business elsewhere or adjust your buying habits with said company.

          Not cool at all!

I just cancelled my Arrival preorder for the 2nd time and reordered it for the third time. It comes out tomorrrow and I want that in my collection on the day of digital release because I want to watch it tomorrow!

You know, I hate to complain (really, I do) but it seems wrong to advertise a thing and not deliver on the promise. This is marked on Walmart.com as having Instawatch, and yet it's not delivering on that promise. This title will be released digitally tonight at midnight and the disc won't be out for a few weeks more. That makes the Instswatch offer very valuable because the promise is that the consumer will have access to the title on January 31 where as they would have had to wait until 2/14/17.

Now it wasn't working last week...and here we are the day before the digital release and it's STILL not working. What good is offering a promotion that simply doesn't work? It becomes very, very frustrating.

It clearly says "Arrival (Blu-ray) (Walmart Exclusive) (With INSTAWATCH) (Widescreen)" and yet the Instawatch promise is not being delivered on.

I opened a ticket, but honestly I have no idea why I bothered. Last time I opened a ticket, two weeks past and I never got a reply at all. After two weeks I resolved the issue on my own and told them they could close the ticket, but no one ever worked the ticket.

If they ignore this ticket for two weeks, by then it'll be on physical disc and the instawatch will serve no advantage at all.

Is anyone else having trouble purchasing the HDX+Blu-ray bundle on Vudu? I keep getting an error message.

Yes. For what its worth support said it is because Walmart is out of stock of the Arrival BR and that they aren't sure when the next shipment will be in.

This is a "stock" answer. I've had this issue with titles several times. Front line CSR tells me it's our of stock, but when I talk to higher level rep they counter that.

I think that Vudu only has a set number of allocated product (say 100 units) and that when they are gone, Vudu just needs to get re-allocated another lot.

Problem is this happens even at 9:01PM on MON pacific when things often go live.

I also no longer order from Walmart due to the cancellation problems. Just not worth it. You can cancel 5 min after ordering something that doesn't ship for weeks and it NEVER cancels. I've had this issue on EVERY order of dozens I've canceled. Amazon doesn't have this problem.

The Blu-ray doesn't come out for two weeks. It doesn't make sense for them to be out of stock.

                          Keep in mind:

                          1) Instawatch eligible blu-rays purchased from Wal-Mart sometimes give early viewing on Vudu prior to disc launch and other times it allows watching on Vudu the day the disc releases.

                          2) Disc + Digital purchased from Vudu, not Wal-Mart almost always gives early viewing on Vudu. HOWEVER, Vudu has a set allotment that they purchase from Wal-Mart inventory. If that allotment has been sold, never set-up or the connection between between Vudu and Wal-Mart is messed up the Vudu system errors out when it can't get a confirmation from Wal-Mart inventory systems. TYPICALLY this was always fixed within hours. This is the FIRST time I've seen it take days and STILL not be fixed. The issue is OFTEN on the Wal-Mart computer side, not Vudu.

I realise that Wal-Mart owns Vudu, however, they are separate companies with separate accounting ledgers and computer systems.

Believe me I am in NO way happy with whats going on, but at least it makes sense and it's not 100% in Vudu's control.

It looks like Vudu has taken the Disc+Digital option off of the page for Arrival. Oh well.

Well that depends if you goto the product pages, yes it's gone. But if you goes the Disc + Digital landing page Arrival still appears as D+D, but when you select it then it disappears.

This also appears to be the case with Madea Halloween and a few other titles. Still on the D+D landing page but purchase option is gone the product page.

More confusion for people, but better then constantly trying multiple orders seeing if it will work.
