Pretty sure we'll regain the HD status. When that happens is anyone's guess.

Re: Disney movies downgraded to SD

I own 98 Disney movies but only three titles got downgraded to SD (Bolt, Planes and Robin Hood -animated) all three were redeemed via Disney or Vudu from enclosed digital codes. Sure hope somebody fixes this screw up. My question is how does something like this happen? Does somebody say, "hey I have a great idea lets just randomly downgrade people's movies for no good reason". I've legally purchased my movies and have legally redeemed them and some jack hole does this. I'm upset because I've had many issues with digital copies (Flixster not porting over UV movies, Vudu cancelling my pre-order for no reason cancelling my redeemed code then refusing to credit my account, that snafu last year where people lost hundreds of movies (some came back some did not) and now this.

Hope Disney can fix this as I've given all my Blurays to my nieces and nephews to destroy.

Re: Disney movies downgraded to SD

I have over 100 Disney titles, and 21 were downgraded by Disney. I seriously hope this is an unintentional glitch & not some rude ploy by Disney to get us to pay again for the same item. For some of these titles this is the 4th time I've purchased them in various formats. For some titles such as Lion King, there is no way to replace them even if I were willing to pay for the a 5th time, which I am not.

If Vudu has some insight into why this has happened and what Disney's plans are, it would relieve a lot of their customer's anxiety. Please keep us up to date on this, as Disney has either neglected to or is intentionally keeping this from us.

6 of my titles were downgraded as well.

            Captain America TFA
            Thor 1
            Iron Man 2
            Iron Man 3
            Peter Pan
            The Nightmare Before Christmas

All of these were redeemed on Itunes, but other titles I redeemed there weren't affected at all. Also, all the aforementioned movies are still showing HD on my Itunes account. Has anyone tried unlinking their DMA account and relinking it to VUDU? I pondered doing that but also thought it would be prudent to wait and see if this problem sorted itself out.

When I called DMA, they were not aware of this and found out that iTunes (if redeemed on iTunes) is the one that downgraded all these titles. If anyone, I would call Apple to see what's going on? I'm going to submit a support ticket now and let them know the names of the titles at issue.

I have two movies with this issue as well-- they both now show at the top of the recent purchase sort view and are now both SD when they should be HD/HDX.

I know that these titles were among the first with digital copies (2009 - 2011 or so) and they had to be redeemed via iTunes or Disney Movie Reward so maybe you don't have to have an Apple account?

I believe it was before UV or DMA.

Not sure if it's a iTunes or DMA issue...I redeemed Captain America First Avenger & Thor at iTunes after the DMA/VUDU link. iTunes show these are still HD but only SD at DMA & VUDU. There's something strange happening here...every month we experience a new hiccup in this digital eco system. Not purchasing anything else until this is corrected.

Re: Disney movies downgraded to SD

BTW I checked my three movies that were downgraded to SD and went to my Disney Movies Anywhere app and even there they are just SD all my others are still showing as HD (thankfully). On iTunes the three are still showing as HD. Strange how Disney says it's an iTunes thing but they show as HD in iTunes but SD in DMA and Vudu. Here's hoping Disney fixes this soon.

Mine still show as HD in iTunes too, but SD in DMA, Vudu and Amazon. I haven't checked GP. Clearly this is a DMA issue and they need to take action, STAT.

Re: Disney movies downgraded to SD

I had three to be downgraded to SD over the weekend.

                                Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Peter Pan - Return to Neverland
                                Oz the Great and Powerful

They still show as HD on Itunes but SD on Vudu and DMA. They have always been HD since the day I redeemed them on DMA. I hope Disney gets this fixed ASAP.
