A disappointing thing is also Paramount not having more movies coded for UV on VUDU....I purchased American Beauty on Paramount's site, but there is no UV logo on VUDU for that film, so I can't watch it the way that I want........Is this not one of the features of UV? The film is in my Ultraviolet locker and should be accessible......Anyway, I bought the Titanic Blu-ray, and put it on my media server, tucking the disc safely away.....Must say a fantastic transfer of the film, both visually and sound-wise.....The disc case did not have the UV logo applied.....

        Re: Titanic Ultraviolet?

I am disgusted that they have hung UV users out to dry on this release. I'm sure it has something to do with James Cameron. He hates digital formats. In 2009 when asked when Avatar would be available for streaming he said "never". Nearly every Paramount release is available on UV and they should demand that this one is as well. They have really disappointed me lately, first with the SD redemption of The Dictator now this

Titanic is available to buy on Vudu again. Warning you can only watch it on your TV and has to be in HDX.

That's a good question. Vudu lists Titanic as Paramount, and everything else by Paramount seems to be UV enabled. Wikipedia also lists 20th Century Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment under Studios and says Fox helped bankroll the actual filming, so I wonder if Lightstorm is responsible for the EST release. Anyone familiar with them?

Just bringing this topic back alive. I just did a D2D conversion of my Titanic "Limited 3D Edition" - the one that came with the iTunes SD-only code in the package - and the HDX is now in my VUDU account.

But I thought D2D only worked for UV titles? Why does FandangoNow not see it in my UV library?

FN had a problem with porting UV the last couple of weeks and should be rectified. Reach out to FN and or UV they may be able to access further.

Titanic is not UV or MA. Pretty sure it has never been either. It also came with an InstaWatch code, which was also not UV.

This is accurate. Redeeming Titanic at VUDU will provide you with the title only at VUDU.

For any other FN UV issues. Contact their customer support and request to have your FN to UV reconciled. Doing this may also release some FN titles you have to UV that are stuck. Won't bring Titanic to FN though.

Just noticed Titanic is not UV, was thinking since it's a Paramount title it was.

Use the Live Chat with-in Customer Support link at FN, those people do a really good job and work fast to reconcile your UV titles.

Was having a problem with 3:10 to Yuma porting back to myUV after upgrading from HD to UHD for about 2 weeks. The CS rep this pass Friday said they were experiencing porting issues during that time and now have been rectified. He reconciled the UV rights once again on Friday and it went through without a hitch.

Titanic is not UV nor is it supposed to be i read somewhere a while back that it has something to do with the rights to the movie specifically not allowing UV

There was a "special remastered 20th anniversary showing only in theaters" I remember reading about recently, no theater near me unfortunately. Supposedly everyone who attended received a digital movie of some sort. Not sure if UV or what exactly but I'm guessing those codes are hard to come by.

I was just extremely surprised because I thought that UV was one of the requirements for Disc-to-Digital titles.

Paramount uses universal codes, at least in North America (ie Canadian codes redeem in the US). Since they don?t own Titanic outside here, my guess would be that?s a contributing, but not the sole reason

Finally, after years and years of waiting, today I was able to use Disc-to-Digital to convert the Titanic Blu-Ray to VUDU.

                                So, no Ultraviolet required.
