I found an article which lists what states Vudu must collect taxes from. It apparently isn't based on a physical present whether that be Vudu or Walmart.

Interesting, 24 states as of the date the list was updated require Vudu to collect taxes.

Technically it is based on physical presence (I assume Walmart is in every state) - but many states don't tax "digital goods".

None for me in California thus far.

THOUGH I don't know if it makes a difference but I've been using credits thus far and nothing has been charged to the credit until I run out of credits so perhaps that could be a difference.

Regarding the sales tax, I have an interesting update to that. I am being charged sales tax for my purchases. I did a conversion at the store this weekend, however, and was not charged sales tax there. I found that odd.

I still had a batch of $2 off coupons so I had to go to the store to get rid of them.

Is there a way to get into the at home D2D beta? I've been taking several trips to WalMart over the last few weeks to begin converting my collection and I'd love to stop driving.

Street Fighter was one of the first I D2D in store. Mainly because mine was scratched and wouldn't play the end of the movie. I do like the movie though, it has a lot of faults but entertaining. I also like the Dead or Alive movie and Super Mario Bros. Only live action video game movies that I really didn't like were the Uwe Boll films and Double Dragon.
Oh yeah forgot that i don't care for the second Mortal Kombat either.

I just did Vudu 2 Go, I did 4 movies TAX FREE. Went smoothly until...I put Paranormal Activity 1 in my CD drive, now mind you on one DVD they put the movie you saw in theaters and the ALT ending. So it could not find my disc. I typed it in and confirmed it as both theatrical and ALT ending. Said they will have to manually verify my disc. Said the same thing for PA2. I called CS and the guy was no help at all, said since its in testing he can do anything. When asked if Walmart would have trouble he said idk. UGH!
