    Disney Movies NOT on Ultraviolet

Edit: They are not on Ultraviolet yet. Sorry for the misleading title. Hopefully, people will see the question mark icon next to this thread an realize it is a question and not a statement. Again, sorry!

When people say there aren't Disney movies on Ultraviolet do they mean Blu-Rays with Ultraviolet codes or on Ultraviolet in general? I see 'Wreck-It Ralph' available for purchase on Vudu in HDX along with 568 other Disney movies. Does everybody already know this and I just didn't see the news on the internet? I went to google and didn't see any articles about Disney being on Ultraviolet. Am i mistaken?

On the Vudu app and website i went to 'Browse' then filtered the list by selecting Walt Disney Studios from the 'Studio' option. You can also see Disney in the 'Collections' section but only shows 369 movies for some reason.

Sorry if this has already been talked about. I didn't see any threads talking about Disney movies being on Ultraviolet.

Disney films are on VUDU. They do not have have Ultraviolet copies of their movies.

But I think that if you buy a VUDU copy and say Disney joins UV down the line, your VUDU copy will turn into a UV copy.

Oh, ok. Now I get what people are talking about. I hope that's the case because i planned on buying some Disney movies and it would be great if it would carry over. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Re: Disney Movies NOT on Ultraviolet

If every one on here is like the most of us we probably have a good size collection of Disney movies already either on Blu-ray or DVD, so when the time does comes and they join UV I hope they allow D2D right away.

There is now way I would buy these movies on Vudu, just to have them be available through D2D. I would much rather spend the money on other movies that are playing UV.

If the kids have to watch a Disney movie, then we will just watch it on Blu-ray for the time being.

I wonder if Vudu has any choice on that $22 price that's set?

I just might be tempted if they dropped down to around that $10 price.

From what I read around here the studios control the price point for the most part.

I'm assuming that prices will go down over time (outside of Disney).

It's interesting to think about because the recent presales (ie Life of Pi) have made buying digital a better deal, but outside that the real deal is buying the Blu-ray (getting all of the bonus features) and then getting the digital code inside the package for roughly the same price as buying just the digital copy.

I have to imagine that prices for just the digital copies will go down over time if UV is the future.

Not only is Disney NOT UV, the Digital (iTunes) copies are ALWAYS SD resolution, instead of HD like MOST all non-Disney titles. At least in my personal experiences.
