Dark Skies (Bluray and DVD) Unable to identify disc error
A Good Day to Die Hard (Bluray/DVD) Not eligible for D2D error
The Dictator (Bluray and DVD) Unable to identify disc error
Star Trek: Into Darkness (Bluray and DVD) Unable to identify disc error
The Wolverine (Bluray and DVD) Unable to identify disc error
Child's Play (Bluray) Not eligible for D2D error
Jurassic Park 1 (Bluray and DVD) Unable to identify disc error
Most new-ish movies (with home release dates in 2012 or 2013) that are on the list do not work. I don't believe anyone knows if they are going to be enabled within a certain time-frame from release or if the studios are automatically putting them in the database for another purpose. But they show up in the master data I scrub, so I still include them...and I can't technically know if they don't work until someone tries each one.

As far as other movies reporting incompatibility (like Child's Play), it could be the version of the disc you're trying isn't the one enabled for Disc to Digital. Or it could be an issue with the specific title in the VUDU app. But if it's in my list, it "should" work. (Child's Play Blu-Ray is still enabled for conversion according to my data, although only in SD.)

I'd like to promote my Alfred workflow once again. (You can find it in my sig below.) If you're on OSX, Alfred is an incredibly useful app (like Quicksilver of olde) and my workflow, basically a plugin/extension, makes it super easy to check D2D titles. Just type the Alfred keyboard shortcut and then "vudu " and the first couple letters of a title and it'll return a live results list straight from VUDU. Super quick and easy for checking titles like Child's Play from above.

Child's Play is not eligible for d2d assuming you mean the 80s Chucky movie (which I am guessing is the case based on the error you gave). The Child's Play that is d2d eligible is actually a 1972 movie with the same name. Make sure you are trying the correct movie.

I'm guessing wrong Child's Play. It's the "Same Title" syndrome that appears occasionally in this thread. Child's Play (the 80's movie) is MGM and not d2d eligible. Child's Play (1972) is eligible and is a Paramount movie. I could be wrong though. Maybe he does mean the obscure 70's movie but based on the error message it's probably the wrong movie.

Ah, that would explain the message. For everyone's reference, the Child's Play that is D2D eligible is http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content/14345.

It was the 80's version I was referring to. Thanks so much for clearing it up!

At least that was easier to figure out by year than "the Illusionist" where both movies were released around the same time and only one is d2d eligible (the animated one) Sorry for the double-ish post earlier. I assumed they would be combined in to one post since I posted so close together. Guess not....

For anyone with issue converting the Jurassic Park trilogy on blu-ray, I contacted Universal and told them I had unused digital copy codes (which I do) that I wanted to convert to UV codes. They replied and sent me a UV code for each movie which redeemed in HDX! Unfortunately they wouldn't do the same for Back to the Future but at least I knocked 3 more movies off my list.

Yes, exactly. Doesn't hurt to ask. I had a no-go on Despicable Me also. I have two copies, and both came with expired iTunes codes. The irony of the situation is one of those copies I won from a Facebook sweepstakes run by Ultraviolet

And I had luck with Back to the Future (the first one) but nothing else.

Thanks. Been waiting for that one. Wonder if anything else got a bump?

Nothing else in my Wishlist got a bump. That was the only one for me.
I'm STILL waiting on WB to give VUDU HDX versions of "Cabaret" and "Papillon" so I can add those.
They gave "The Exorcist" HDX streaming rights a few months ago, but that was probably due to the free UVVU code with the new Blu-Ray release.

Also, there are a few films like "A Beautiful Mind", "The Master", and The Hurt Locker" that are UVVU but are not available for D2D yet. Let's hope those get added soon!

I discovered this one today as well. Good news. One more off my wish list of 75 titles that are either Rent Only or SD Only. I have another wish list of 60 movies that are not on Vudu at all. Unfortunately though, at this rate it will take about 30 years for all these titles to be added/changed to Own in HDX!

Found 1 more. Gods and Monsters is now available in HDX as well. Grizzly Man is also showing as HDX now (I had it as SD only) but it's hard to tell from the list in the OP if that's new or not since it shows SD only for DVD but yes for HD on the blu ray? According to THIS thread it's new though.

                              So....

                              Gods and Monsters
                              Grizzly Man
