It's not unheard of. I think most of the non UV d2d titles ended up UV eventually or ended up UV after d2d was done.

I actually haven't made the purchase yet, it's in my VUDU 2 Go cart waiting to hit the magic number 10 so I can get the 50% discount. But I'm thinking it has to be UV, since every other D2D-eligible title is...

I think this is a mistake by Vudu. Gremlins is not UV enabled yet and the DVD comes up as not eligible. D2D is for UV titles so this would imply that Gremlins will become UV in the near Future. It is not yet available on the 4 other main UV competitors.

Not all D2D are UV. We have had a few in the past that were not UV. But I do agree that this one will eventually be UV since it's a WB title.

Hmm ... I D2D'd Timecop at Walmart at least 6 weeks ago (that was the last time I did D2D there, and I haven't been there since, so I know I'm not imagining it) ...

Found a couple DVDs at the dollar tree so I was able to get to 10 and get the 50% off. Gremlins does not UV enable once it's D2D'd like some other movies did for me (Watchmen Director's cut comes to mind).

Gremlins is not an UltraViolet title. It's possible that Warner Brothers may make it UV at a later date, but for now they have only allowed us to convert it using D2D.

I know that. I'm just confirming that it's not one of those titles that turn UV after you D2D them. There have been 2 types of non UV D2D movies in the past. Those that turn UV after you convert them and those that don't. Watchmen-Director's cut used to be one of those movies that only turned UV after you converted it. If you logged out of your account it would lose UV status on the movie page (It's since been given UV status 100% of the time). Taken used to be a movie that would not gain UV status after d2d (It's also since been given UV status 100% of the time).

I think we're saying the same thing. Gremlins is NOT currently UV, but it's available for D2D. At a later date, Warner Brothers MAY make it UV and at that time anyone who has Gremlins on Vudu will see it show up in the UV digital locker where it will remain, even if WB later decides to remove it from UV.

Wait, what? I thought all D2D titles were UV? Is there a list anywhere of those that aren't?

                          edit...
Oh wait... Or are you just saying that some titles are only UV via D2D whereas those same select titles are non-UV when you get them without using D2D?

Thank you kind Vudu. Been wanting Gremlins on my Vudu library for yonks.

The first part. Most, but not all D2D are UV. Most end up UV eventually though. Right now Gremlins is the only example I know of, but like I mentioned in my previous post, Taken was at one point not UV though it was d2d eligible.

This information is not correct. I have had titles removed from my locker. Two that come to mind is the Harold and Kumar movies unrated. They were UV when I d2d them but now they are not in my locker and are no longer uv. Vudu customer service told me that when you d2d a movie you are getting the rights on Vudu and will always have the vudu rights but the UV rights are separate.
