The message I got with my Blu Ray is that it's not eligible for D2D so the DVD probably won't work just like Clerks, Chasing Amy, etc....

      First Daughter
Hollow Man (I think someone already mentioned this)
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (I think maybe this was mentioned as well)
      No Direction Home: Bob Dylan
      The Return of the Vampire
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Theatrical)
Thanks. Another one that fits this list is Becoming Jane.

what happens when you redeem a blu ray but its only available in sd when/if the hd version eventually becomes available.

does it automatically get bumped up to the hd version?

No, you have to re-purchase the HD version.

Re: Disc to Digital Title List

IS the disk to digital database really a disk to digital database or just a list of ultraviolet capable movies cuz my last 2 movies I just tried to convert From Dusk to Dawn(BD) and The Faculty(DVD) say they are not eligible for D2D. Both are on the D2D list to be able to convert from BD or DVD but no luck and yes I know sometimes they are still working out the kinks but just seems strange. I have actually had few movies do this. IS this maybe a VUDU to go issue and may work with some other D2D program like Flixster?

Not true. Police academy was only sd on vudu but it was recently upgraded to hdx automatically. Selena was also upgraded for me to hdx automatically.

That's only if you d2d them through other places. I did the same with Police Academy. I used another service because they gave HD and it upgraded when Vudu got HDX. Vudu themselves have stated they will not auto upgrade SD to HD if you d2d when only SD available. It's actually a pretty common question.

I think it depends if you did d2d from a bluray or dvd in this situation, if it was from a bluray and you only was able to get sd it will get upgraded when vudu get the hdx version, but if from dvd it stays as sd

That's why I won't D2D anything that's currently SD only. I'm done with SD, unless it's free, and even then it would have to be something I really want to watch. But if I'm paying for it, I'll wait until it's available in HDX rather than risk wasting money buying it twice.

Re: Disc to Digital Title List

It is actually clear because Vudu themselves have said they won't upgrade to HDX regardless of what format you used to d2d. Also I have personal experience with the situation. You won't get an auto upgrade. If you d2d it through Vudu as SD it will stay SD until you pay to have an HDX copy added. This has been asked and answered numerous times over the past couple years. It sucks and we all wish Vudu would change their stance but what are you going to do? I always check the other services before I d2d an SD only copy through Vudu because like Police Academy and a few others (Steel Magnolias and some of the Superman movies come to mind) if they have HD when Vudu only has SD you will get the HD copy when Vudu gets HD rights to those movies. I know we all want this info to be wrong, but Vudu has made it crystal clear that what you pay for when you d2d the movie is what you get even if you pay $2 to d2d an SD copy from a Blu Ray. As for the Police Academy upgrade the person above talked about. The Blu Ray was not released until Nov 2013 meaning it won't work with Vudu2Go since the home d2d program won't read any blu rays released after it's inception regardless if it's a new release or catalog title (a well known bug). Even the import blu ray wasn't released until July of 2013 so it would have had to have been done with the DVD or through another service. Also, more importantly Vudu does not offer Police Academy d2d via blu ray. Only DVD. Check the database. It's one of those odd movies where a blu ray exists but Vudu doesn't offer it.

No this isn't true if the D2D conversion was done through Vudu, see Madmod's post above this one.

The disc2digital database is a disc to digital database and not just UV eligible movies. Not all movies work at home and a few give the wrong message as you received. Sure try em elsewhere and see what happens or bring them into a Walmart with a working D2D program, or wait until they are eventually fixed.

Not Really sure who said there was a Bug where Blurays Released after Vudu-To-go was Released can't be read by the App but Personal Experience shows me that the "Well Known Bug" doesn't exist for All Blu-rays Released after the Apps Inception.
A Few Friends and I have been Keeping Track of Which Disks work on the Vudu-To-Go and I have Attached a List of Known Blu-Rays that Work on the App and were Released after its inception in January of 2013. The List includes 2 Columns, One is a List of All the Blu-rays Released since January of 2013 and the Second is a List of All of Those Blu-rays that work on the App. There are Also Links to My sources of 2013 Blu-ray Releases.
                            My List https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing
We have Also been keeping track of which DVDs work and If anyone wants to Know Which Disks have Worked for Me Send me a PM and Maybe I can Help.

The movies on your second list aren't new releases since 2013. I know because I haven't bought a Blu-ray since Christmas in 2012, and I own several of them. Maybe they were re-released again after 2013, but what doesn't work are movies that are released for the first time since the program came out.

A lot of those movies on your list were re-released in 2013 (Like the Dark Crystal which was released in 2009 on BD and re-released in 2012 according to Amazon. I wouldn't give wikipedia too much credit for their list). I guess I should have been more specific. Movies new to blu ray released after the programs inception rarely work. A quick glance at your 2013 list shows quite a few movies I had before 2013 ((like 9 and 500 days of summer). Wiki is pretty inaccurate. Amazon would be a better indicator of when a movie was actually released in 2013 but they don't have the same type of lists that wiki does. Those movies Wiki says were 2013 most likely includes movies that were re-released with something like movie money attached to it. Same disc, just with new packaging. Universal Studios (40 year old Virgin, Bridesmaids, etc....) is notorious for repackaging the same discs over and over (anniversary editions, best of the 80s, etc....) so you may be wasting your time with that list. I've yet to have a new to blu catalog title (A league of their own, Police Academy, Blue Lagoon etc...) work.
