The Abyss as well. If I had to guess, I'd say they are preparing a major James Cameron catalog release and are pulling access to his movies leading up to it. Which is fine as long as I can get a HDX copy of The Abyss Special Edition some time in the near future.

                Re: Disc to Digital Title

whats the protocol on say you did a d2d and it was only offered in SD and now it is being offered in HDX ? can they upgrade it ?, do you have to just do it over and repay ?
I know Ghost In The Shell and Karate Kid are now available in HDX haven't really gone through my collection , both of those I tried with a Bluray and I think they both showed up as DVD and SD only if i'm not mistaken back when I did them

Re: Disc to Digital Title List

You have to do it again, it will only automatically upgrade when HDX becomes available on Vudu if it's UV and you already have the HD version in your UV account, like if you purchased the HD version on another site.

How long does it take for a dvd or blu ray to be available with the HOME version of the disc to digital ?
I know people say with newer releases you cannot, you have to take them to walmart, I was just wondering whats the time frame for it not being new and working ? 6mo, 1 year, more ??? is there any set standard ?

If it was released prior to the introduction of the home d2d software it should work, but there's still a good chance you'll hit a snag on some titles that won't read. It isn't new titles alone that won't read. If it's a catalog title that's new to blu ray or get's a re-release special edition those won't work either.

oh so they are not actually adding new titles to the home version at all then ?
Its just what was available when it launched and that's it. Thats a shame

Technically, it is just one list, newer ones just typically don't work at home.

The list also includes many titles added after the launch that work, so it hasn't been entirely stagnant.

Yep. If the DVD existed before the home D2D software and became eligible later it should work. Unless it doesn't

I think i remember reading somewhere that another studio was going to be joining the d2d. If i remember correctly it was Sony. Does anyone else have any information like this or know when it could possibly happen?

Sony has been Disc 2 Digital since the beginning.
