    UltraViolet Timeline of Events and Progress

    The UltraViolet Wikipedia page now contains the Timeline of UltraViolet that I originally put together for this thread. It is now a complete version with references. If you have anything to add, please post here, or you can edit the Wikipedia page itself.

          Ep,

          Thank you for this. It is appreciated.

          I wish there were some way to quantify the UV coup d'etat which has occurred in the digital copy market.

          Although the trajectory you objectively detail is by any measure exceptional success, it is in the digital copy market where there has been truly amazing turn of events. UV has become the defacto standard for digital copy redemptions. This has been due to a concerted effort by the distribution studios and has resulted in an unheard of reversal of a market in only 18 months.

          Sadly, I know of no way to quantify this market reversal, but consider it to be the most significant event in their consumer acceptance campaign.

          Digital copy redemption is known to be a transitional method to ween consumers off packaged media and to make est the new method of delivery for movie industry content. If UV owns the digital copy redemption market, from this landing pad, the future of est appears to be mostly purple, from my estimation.

                Looks like the 2 million accounts milestone was not a press release, but came out at the Time Warner results meeting. I found a link here:

                          DECE = Digital Entertainment Content Ecosystem
                          DEG = Digital Entertainment Group

                          These are two different organizations.

                          DECE maintains the UV systems.
