Why isn't Scary Movie 5 UV?

It came out Tuesday on DVD and Blu, why isn't it UV yet? If vudu isn't going to have UV releases from Anchor Bay or The Weinstein Company in the future, that is a major disappointment.

I'm also concerned with the Weinstein and Anchor Bay situations. I, forgetting the current issue, redeemed my Django UV code in Vudu rather than Flixster, and it's not UV. That sucks. I hope Vudu is in talks to get them back UV, and that this is only a temporary situation.

Not only did DJANGO loose UV so did Silver Linings and Killing Them Softly.

You really should be happy you redeemed in Vudu rather that Flixster and I tell you why:

        1. Flixster's site is God awful, especially for those of us with large movie collections.
        2. Flixster does not have an app for TV streaming whereas Vudu is on Roku, a number of Blu ray players, and other TV streaming devices.
        3. Vudu's app (at least for Android) is light years better than Flixster's
        4. Vudu has HDX quality and 7.1 audio. Flixster only has SD but claim they're working on HD streaming.

So in conclusion Vudu is where you should redeem everything you can. I now regret redeeming some of my movies through Flixster seeing as some movies are starting to lose UV status.

...actually what needs to happen is Disney needs to join DECE and then everyone will follow suit.

Django Unchained and Silver Linings Playbook are both showing as UV in my collection. I don't have Killing Them Softly, but I can see that one does not show UV on it's page.

I also checked my UVVU library, and it seems I still have Silver Lingings Playbook as a UV Title. The issue your having is most likely a content only issue with VUDU. I'd recommend creating a support ticket in regards to this...

They won't be for long. The same this happened with Scream 4 and when you check one day that UV logo will be gone. On Cinemanow's site they don't have the UV logo anymore and in my Vudu collection the UV logo is also gone.

My guess is if you see the logo it's cached in your browser.

              ***EDIT***

Interestingly enough the UV logo is back on Scream 4, I just checked. My next guess is The Weinstein Company is confused how DECE works. Who knows what's really going on here.

              ***EDIT 2***

The UV logo for Scream 4 still has not returned to the Cinemanow site as of yet.

                Your wrong....

He is not referring to here, he is referring to UVVU.com, this is the actual location that shows if the movie is UV. I still have Silver Linings Playbook in my UV collection at UVVU.com. This means it did not loose it's UV status. However, a provider such as VUDU may be having a licensing issue, hence why it is no longer showing with a UV badge here and won't transfer over if it was redeemed somewhere else. The only way to have that rectified is to open a support ticket and their content team will investigate it.

Does this make sense? If a title does not show up in your UltraViolet collection at UVVU.com, then it has really indeed lost it's UV status. Which this is not the case for these titles from what I can tell. It's a VUDU issue....

To clarify with you I was referring to the UV logo appearing on the providers sites. I'm well aware they are still in my UV collection. Even Scream 4 was when it lost it's logo on both Cinemanow and Vudu. We're obviously speaking different languages.

Oh!! snap, now I know what's up, read/understood the quoted post incorrectly. My bad

                        You quoted this post though:

                        And your reply was:

So you were replying to his post but not talking about the same thing, hence I was attempting to correct it...

                        -----------------------------

But on another note, it doesn't matter, just trying to make sure the issue was understood. It's a problem for VUDU's content team to handle. The titles are still UV, just VUDU is no longer reporting them as UV enabled, so that is why it won't transfer (from another provider) or be playable on VUDU until VUDU fixes that issue.

I had initially redeemed with Flixster for these movies and now I can't watch them on Vudu. Yeah, there still in my UVVU locker. So the question is does Vudu not have the rights to stream certain UV movies?
