    D2D Improvement Noted

I only had two unrecognized disks out of 24 converted this week. This is the most success I've ever had. So, at least for me, D2D seems to have improved.

But were any of those discs ones that you tried to convert in the past?

I think I've done at least 75 to 100 in home conversions (probably more, I've not really kept track), but I've only seen a few unrecognized or miss-identified discs work on subsequent tries. So my stack of discs that don't work today are the same ones that didn't work last month or the month before. So, no real signs of significant improvement in my case.

No, these were new disks I haven't tried before.

I mentioned in another thread that you can't really quantify how vudu 2 go is doing based on individual collections since everyone has different movies and will get different results. I think that's the case here. You hit a good spell of discs it can ID. I don't think things will change for those with bad results until an upgrade comes out. The promo ends tomorrow so maybe we will get an update soon.

          Exactly.

          This thread is pointless.

You can't say there's an "improvement" when you haven't tried any of those before.

I keep trying the same old disc's and only on RARE occasions have they been fixed. Those that were fixed were always once's that were were entry's as well, never one's that had been on the list for some time.

No improvements have been made. You just simply hit a bunch that actually work.

I say this thread should be locked.

There is no foundation for saying that vudu d2d has improved. If anything it's gotten worse. I had previously held back on doing some conversions. At the time those blurays read just fine. About a month ago when I went back to add them, they now read as dvds instead of blurays. There are several threads on this new glitch. So it in fact has gotten worse and not better.

Well, lucky for us you're not a moderator, and the moderators here tend to let us discuss things as long as they're not illegal, malicious, or harmful.

My opinion is that there has been very little progress on our end...but we know they're invested in this, and they just postponed the end of the promotion, so I think we'll see progress in the conversion rate soon...or, at least, some time before the end of the year.

Of course, I'm really hoping they'll straighten out the issue with LOTR:EE Blu-rays. To me, that's a big indicator of progress, since it's a popular title, and the issue was pointed out in the forums early and often.

Wow, I didn't realize I would create such negative responses. I realize that "improvement" was not the best word choice, but I was simply surprised and pleased that so many worked for me this time. Call it luck or whatever else you want, but the fact remains that 22 out of 24 is good.

Yup. That's just luck. Nothing has been improved.
