Thanks, but this is all well known. This thread was about if non iTunes digital redemption codes for Thor, Iron Man 2 and Captain America exist. These movies were released before Vudu became a redemption option for Disney/Marvel.

I called Marvel and one of their higher up dug into the issue for me. After two weeks of research he came back and told me the codes don't exist. There was a plan in place to make these films available, but it never actually happened. He said it still my happen in the future, but for now they are reissuing old Paramount Blu-Rays with new Barcodes that they 'bought back' from Paramount's overstock.

Disney movies redeemable thru Digital Copy Plus have always been listed on Vudu's "Redeem UltraViolet Copy" page; but once redeemed on Vudu they appear only here, not at other UV services. It's not unusual to see Disney movies on that page; the "Redeem a Top Title" section includes Frozen, Saving Mr. Banks, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Pirate Fairy, Thor: The Dark World, The Jungle Book 2 (but strangely not the original), and Monsters University.

These three movies (along with the first Iron Man) were all originally released by Paramount, but now belong to Disney/Buena Vista; Vudu now shows Disney as the releasing studio. I've seen Iron Man 2 BD/DVD/DC copies in a store (not Walmart) recently that had Paramount packaging but a Buena Vista UPC code sticker over the Paramount UPC, like some of the Paramount catalog titles whose distribution went to Warner Bros. in 2013. Can you tell if these DC codes came from Paramount, or from Disney/Buena Vista?

Ok, more details. Where did you get them? Post a pic of the code sheet if you want the absolute last word. There were "manufactured" codes circulating for a while.

Yes. Anyone can say they exist because they were given one, etc... but with no proof all evidence points to the glitch codes that were floating around a while back.

There was a glitch that allowed people to redeem them that I believe had been fixed. The actual codes do not exist yet. There was quite a bit of research done in another thread on this forum.

How about a pic of the insert slip with the code on it? The ones that work look like the disney movie rewards slips. The ones that just look like standard itunes digital copies don't.

    Evidence or it never happened.

Disney needs to get its head out & start supporting UV (in addition to the other streaming formats it already supports). Most "new" Marvel stuff after Disney acquired it isn't UV. Older Marvel stuff (especially animated stuff) is UV. Pretty irritating situation.

Kind of like the whole Chronicles of Narnia thing... First two movies were Disney, so they're NOT UV, 3rd was through another studio, so it *IS* UV. This is the kind of ridiculous situation that Disney sequestration causes... Quite irritating. I really hope they get on board soon. One of the few "big" holdouts.

If they'd make their stuff UV (and offer it at REASONABLE prices), I'd snap it up in a heartbeat... But I vote with my money, so I'm not buying their stuff 'til they pull their heads out.

I would really like to know this too. It's just too bad I can't do disc to digital with these as I already own all the marvel movies
