Walmart not doing In-Store Disc to Digital??

    I have this problem every single time that I go into Walmart to D2D. First answer is in the fact that it is not done in electronics, but rather photography. That said the problem that you will run into is the lack of training on how to make it work. Most of the folks in the photo section do not know, nor do they want to learn how to run the disc to digital conversion, (there have been a few times when I got someone willing to learn it that just let me take over the computer and show them how to do it.) Last thing to note, D2D in store doesn't give you a discount when you do 10 or more. VUDU really does need to give better directions to the employees of Walmart on how to do this.

      From my experience out here in AZ, they're supposed to have a 3-ring binder back behind the photo counter with all the Vudu D2D instructions. Thing is, too often the employees aren't even aware it exists, or if they are then they don't where it ("it's supposed to be back here somewhere . . ."). However, last time I went, she was eventually able to find the book and was then able to covert my discs without issue . . .

        that is correct, all 5 in the DVD department said VUDU what is that.?

        next day 1 in 6 knew and said, its not in the DVD department its in PHOTOS .

        in the center rear, of said are it a terminal (screen and kbd) and they need to know how to use it and most don't.
        best is to go near noon or shift change and talk to both shifts. (i dont know exact times)
        ours is open 24/7 so, not all shifts have equal training, same with all large operations like that.

        the photo department , has a large counter space, see all this folks converting photos in there cameras
        to real prints , in real time, bingo, "camera" department, and to the right are cameras for sale.

        IT IS THERE, talk to the CAMERA " associate"

        DO NOT GO NOW,!
        READ THE POSTS ABOVE TO THE MASTER LIST FIRST. (SAVE GAS AND TIME?)
        IF YOUR MOVIE IS NOT on the list, it's all just a waste of your time to go in to the store to do all this...

        (wash and repeat)

          I still have problems whenever I go to Walmart, Hays, KS. I finally found (1) person working there, that I know, that actually took the time and figured out how to do the In-Store Disc to Digital. If she is not working there the day I bring in Blu-rays, then I am screwed. No one else knows or has taken the time to figure out how to do it still and it has been like 2 years now.

            This has always been the case since the D2D program started back in 2011 or 2012. I had one lady that I always went to in a store that was not my closest because she's the only one who knew how to do it. I haven't it done it now in such a long time, don't know if there is anyone there now who knows?

              I call ahead to make sure that the person that can do it is working so I don't waste a trip.

                use the vudu or ultraviolet sticker first. (free) (stand in walmart see those DVDs, see that uv sticker. (stuck to the shrink wrap) a sticker
                if no sticker. there or not INSIDE , on a CARD, (UV or VUDU CARD )then.
                do what the card tells you or the back side of that sticker. it says go to UV and use the secret code.
                all now are like that if you just look.
                (not the $3.73, DVD bin up front of store, this are UV free) In the back of store, first run DVD/Blu-ray.

                so ive got 85 title in my VUDU (my vudu)
                all got there using the D2D program . not off UV stickers. (or whats in the DVD container box)
                i did them all 10 at a time, costing me $10. (in total about $50)

                use the D2d program. (program is free)
                D2D IS NOT FREE!
                nor is UV , if you look the UV disks cost more... no free lunch here, but...

                if the disc is scratched the disc may not work at home, D2D must read the disk, or it will fail.
                so go the walmart. (we are at choice 3 now)
                they will do it for free. (for now) scratched or not.

                do that, when shopping for socks. or what ever. (as a side job)
                then watch the clerk do it, and memorize the method. (eg: log in , type search, type movie, see red words, that means not supported yet. Means the Film maker is dragging their feet ..... or holding out of more cash.... whatever)
                then next trip to Walmart, teach the the new person how to do this. simple 3 steps. send training bill to :

                    Just an off the wall guess, I think that he means the "sticker" that you find on the front of the Disc case when you purchase the title that has the UV code on it???? Just my wild guess in the scheme of things

                      I think he meant look for a sticker(usually purple or orange) on the front of the package then either check the back of the sticker for the code or inside the disc case for a paper insert.

                          I am tired of Walmart employees blanking out when I tell them I need movies loaded on Vudu. There are 3 walmarts within 5 miles from my house, and none of the emloyees in the electronic section have any idea what the service is. Luckily, I found a walmart about 25 miles away from my house where one person actuallly knew about the service.

                          Any plans for any training for the Walmart employees on this service?
