Error: Sorry, Disc to Digital has experienced a technical issue.

I can't figure out how to fix this error using the Vudu app. I am using it on my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. On the mobile app, it has a message on there about offering 100% off my first disc to digital purchase. I figured i'd take advantage of my first one free.

I've tried scanning several DVD cases such as, Avatar, Twister, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, The Matrix, The Day After Tomorrow, and several other movies.

It keeps giving me this error:

"Error: Sorry, disc to digital has experienced a technical issue. Please try again later."

I have GPS enabled. I've also went into the settings for the app and have allowed access to my camera, storage, and contacts as well. So all 4 settings for the app are enabled. I've also taken off my wifi and tried using my 4G data. I've tried clearing data/cache, uninstalling and reinstalling. I've made sure my address in my account matches my location.

It continues to give me that error on the app using it on my mobile. However, if I try to convert disc to digital using my laptop and the Vudu To Go software, it offers me to convert Avatar and all the other movies as well.

So anyone else experiencing this error? Have you experienced it in the past and fixed it? If fixed, how?

    Appreciate any and all responses.

I'm having the same issue on my Galaxy S7 Edge. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app a few times and keep getting the same error. I've tried on my Nvidia Shield Tablet and gotten the same error.

When the movie isn't in the library I get a different message saying the content is not available, but everything that should work I get the technical issues message.

I had this issue since launch of the mobile d2d. I figured out that itvwad caused by an expired credit card on my account. Once I updated my payment method it worked! Hope this helps.

I had What looked like an expired card on file so I updated my payment method to a current source (Paypal) and allowed "storage" in app's permissions (Android 6.1). That did the trick for me

I only have one debit card on file with VUDU and it's not expired and I'm still getting the issue.

Is it with specific movies or all of them? I know I am having an issue with a specific movie. There's a running list of movies that are having issues but not sure if they're looking at fixing them or not, or a timeline

Maybe debit card doesn't have a "billing address" or is different from what you have on file ?

I had my Walmart CC listed on my account and it's not expired. I tried deleting it and using my debit card that's not expired. Both match my billing address.

I am still getting this error. I have over 100 DVD's and not a single one works using my mobile phone. Every movie I have is offered when trying to use my laptop and sticking the DVD in.

I can't figure out why this error is happening. I'd love to take advantage of my first one free, but it may disappear before I have the chance to get it working.

I think the key is allow all VUDU Android app permissions. When I checked allow for storage it worked fine.

I do have all permissions enabled, including storage and still not working.

I had the same issue, and tried several things. What ended up fixing the problem for me was setting up my payment method. In my case, it was PayPal, and it was deceiving because it said that my payment method was PayPal, but I had never given VUDU permission to access my PayPal funds. After setting that up, everything worked like a charm!

I also have an s7 edge with the same issue. It can't be the phone though because my tablets and other phones also give the same error. It is so frustrating that no one has been able to figure this out. I was really looking forward to using this service. Does anyone have their account set up to log in with walmart? I thought maybe that could be the issue but I think I've read others that use walmart got it to work.
