Re: Problem with VuDu and PS3

I just uploaded this as well the same problem. Is there anyone to contact about this issue? It would be a bit pointless to mess with router settings and ports. Most people wouldn't know how to do that anyway.

Seems either Vudu or Playstation has an issue with this that needs to be fixed.

Re: Problem with VuDu and PS3

I am having the same problem with Vudu HD Movies on my PS3. I have a wireless network and I am using a Belkin router but everything else works perfectly with it. I even tried Netflix on my PS3 and it worked fine. I have tried deleting and redownloading Vudu but it will always say "loading vudu movies" and 20 seconds later it always says "Failed to fetch" and "Detail: Error when downloading bundle". I know nothing about messing with my router so is there anything that can be done to fix this?

Re: Problem with VuDu and PS3

Nevermind about my previous post...I thought that Vudu would charge a monthly rate like Netflix because you can already download movies in HD on the Playstation Network for $5.99 which is way too expensive in my opinion.

Still no luck with getting VuDu to work with my PS3. How many others out there are having the same problem? I really want to try out the new service but I'm still dead in the water.

            Hey Guys,

I know that most of you probably have already read this but it might be helpful to those who have not.

Here is the Sony PS3 Internet Connection Test settings page.

            http://manuals.playstation.net/docum...nnecttest.html

It has some helpful suggestions along with some recommended settings that are useful as well. I know that some Belkin Routers are giving people some hassle we are definitely looking into that.

Re: Problem with VuDu and PS3

I received this error message this morning.

This is after watching a few HDX movies yesterday with nary a problem.

After waiting an hour, it's working fine again.

Re: Problem with VuDu and PS3

Ok, I have bypassed my router and it works perfectly. I see other mentions of Belkin routers so my guess is that there is a compatibility issue with them.

My suggestion is that VuDu get a few Belkin routers and start testing. This is a relatively popular brand and simply suggesting we all get new routers wont work. I look forward to a resolution and please don't insult us by sending us to a Sony PS3 internet connection test site, we are here asking for help with YOUR software on our PS3's which are having no other connection issues.

I'm still wondering if anyone has found a fix for this?
Thought I'd give it another try a few times today. Still nothing. Same error codes same issues.

I really thought that since the date of the download there would be a fix for this by now.

We are going to run some tests and see if there are some settings changes that will allow the Belkin to work.

I have a Linksys router and I am getting the same error. The odd thing is that Vudu worked fine a couple weeks ago. I haven't changed any of the networking equipment involved. The PS3 can get to the Internet because I use Netflix every night.

Any suggestions? Deleted and Re-install Vudu?

My suggestion. Hire the guys that programmed the Netflix app. It always connects.

I had the same problem with my PS3, I resolved it by moving my ps3 into the DMZ on my router placing it outside the routers built in firewall and that fixed the problem. Hope this helps.

My buddy told me that when you sign up you get a free download. I'm thinking of switching from Netflix, but my account hasn't been credited w/the funds to try this service out. Can someone take a look into this?

This is so frustrating for me. I have the Belkin Wireless G Router and am dealing with the same issues as others within this particular forum. I've sent emails and spoke to vudu support. Problem is, they've still not given me a fix for the issue. My Internet connection is solid and I've never had an issue with any other Apps on my PS3.

On one rare occassion when I was able to log onto VUDU (via my PS3) I ran the Internet Connection Speed test that they offer. The VUDU test confirmed that I would have no problems watching HDX movies. Problem is, everytime I load the Vudu app nowadays, it logs me out of my PS3, resulting in a failed connection. Sometime it will tease me and actually load up after 20 plus attempts, then disconnect itself 30 seconds later.

I've got no problem loading Vudu up on my laptop, but I dont enjoy paying for movies then watching them on a 15 inch screen when Ive got a sweet 1080p HDTV. Worse yet, my laptop is right beside my PS3 utilizing the same Belkin Router. Netflix is becoming all the more tempting to me if this issue isn't resolved in the very near future.

                                Darren,

I apologize, as of yet we have not been able to figure out a settings change that will allow the PS3 to connect when using this particular belkin router. We will keep working to find a fix.
