Weird playback issue on Android cell phone

For the last week when I play any movie from my VUDU account on my cell phone it will only show half the screen.

Cleared cache deleted app redownloaded. Tried on wifi or data. Nothing works. Every movie i choose only shows half the screen.

    Netflix and HBO both work

Called tech support. No help as of yet. Anyone have any ideas?

    Android G5 phone.

Really annoying seeing as I only watch them on my cell phone.

    Any help is appreciated.

Is your phone rooted or using a custom OS ROM? Can you provide me with the Vudu app version and your OS version as well, thanks.

Would you be able to take a screenshot showing this issue? That would me much appreciated.

It actually will not let me screen shot the screen while the movie is playing. The top half or the bottom half is blacked out. Depending on which way I turn my phone it switches. Movie plays fine but obviously only seeing half the screen makes it unwatchable.

Do you have a friend w/a phone. Just take a pic with another device and then you can use that photo.

Yes I will have to wait until after work and I can take a picture of it. It looks exactly how it sounds. half the screen is black and half shows the picture.

This is seriously weird that no one else is having this issue and its literally just me. I am afraid I will have to get a new phone because of this internal error between vudu and my phone model/version.

Really sucks to be honest my phone works perfect yet and I have no issues and dont even want a new one. Losing confidence that this will ever be solved.

Cant get a screenshot of whats happening.

half the screen is black and the other half shows the movie. Its simple as that. What you are picturing in your head is exactly what it looks like.

This is crazy to have this confusing of a problem when it seems like it should be easily fixed and updated. Insane.

Something new I just found out. I can watch trailers of movies and the picture shows up just fine. But when I want to play a movie i own it only shows half the screen. How a problem like that even comes into existence is unbelievable. This need to be fixed now. Please look into this.

I am also having the same problem with movies only showing half the screen but the trailers and ads play fine.
                        I am using a LG G5 Model LGUS992, Android 7.0, Kernal 3.18.31, Build # NRD90U, Software ver. US99226c.
The same problem also happens with Google play and Movies anywere apps. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon prime apps all play fine.

Can someone provide us with a screenshot/photo of this issue? A list of titles that you're trying to watch and showing this issue will also be helpful, thanks.

I have tried Atomic Blonde, Deadpool, Jumanji welcome to the jungle, Ice age, The fifth Element, Aliens Special Edition, Evil Dead(2013), Ted, and Pacific Rim. I can not provide a picture of the problem because I get an error "You are not authorized to create or remove attachments. (no_create_permissions_attach)" when i try to attach a picture.
