Isn't there a post by you in a thread started by me about how you didn't like Yamaha?

Or maybe I'm thinking someone else...

If I didn't like Yamaha why would I buy a YSP-4000 sound projector? I don't like Pioneer equipment anymore due to the way they handled discrete IR commands.

          That's why I was confused!

OK, so it was Pioneer. I had another friend then that didn't like Yamaha..

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is a "sound projector"?

Is it something that converts audio to the visible light spectrum?

Instead of having a room full of speakers you have a sound bar instead and it uses "beam" technology to bounce the sounds off the walls to create the 5 channel sound. Here is a good link:

I was all set to buy YSP-3000 but decided against it since I'd like an audio-out for my headphones.

Can you hunker up to it for a martini?

                  Seriously, thanks for the link.

I was just looking at it and now I'm interested. Do you have one and do you like it? Do have the sub-woofer too?

                    Thanks

That bar sounds good but it can't replace a 7.1 system.

Yes it works great as long as your room can host it. Download the manual and it describes some of the room layouts it can support. The wife likes it cause there are no more speakers spread out though out our family room.

I didn't purchased the matching subwoofer. I used my 200W Klipsch subwoofer. You can set low freq bypass or just have it work as LFE for the .1 channel.

Can't compare to my 10.2 system. You haven't heard anything until you get stereo sub-woofers with dynamic ultra-sound tweeters.

I have a Bose 3-2-1 system, but not really happy with it. Wonder if I could use the sub speaker that came with it for the Yamaha. (rehtorical question, no answer needed)

I thought this problem was almost fixed perfectly a while back. I haven't watched Vudu in a while but now going back to it, I am having the same problem again. There is again a 3-4 sec pause on any trick play (pause/FF/RW) action.

I think 1.3 originally fixed this but it seems as if a recent software rev has made it worse again (1.5?)

Funny enough, in the same time period, Directv has fixed the issue completely with their HR20 box. I honestly thought DirecTV never would and Vudu had licked it first.

Is anyone else still seeing this issue?

Did you double check your audio settings under I think it's the advanced menu in info and settings? It may have gotten reset with a build update. Check to make sure the pause burst is turned on.
