The Fandango at Home Forums are designed to help viewers get the most out of their Fandango at Home experience. Here, Fandango at Home customers may post information, questions, ideas, etc. on the subject of Fandango at Home and Fandango at Home -related issues (home theater, entertainment, etc).       As far as leaving STB owners in the dark, I'm guessing that is what will happen. Last night I checked my system, no "owned" movies and no rentals on the box. But it shows 206 GB out of 233 GB as being used. How can that be? I guess the answer lies in being last on the list for a fix, if in fact STB owners are on the list.

      Very frustrating to say the least.....

        I am no longer optimistic this issue will get resolved. Back in the fall,the mods on this board responded to these threads indicating it was a top priority and that a fix would be coming.

        Earlier in the week, I emailed customer support since that obviously was not the case. It turns out they are not working on a fix, they are investigating it. And, I will get an email if they have anything to report. Below is the response.

          Investigating, working, they mean almost the same thing in the software business. Danielle posted back around December 15th that a fix was coming.

          I don't know about you guys, but after December 15th most of the work force where I work starts to disappear to use up their vacation days before the end of the year. Putting a software fix for a commercial product has to follow process and if half the work force is on vacation that process cannot be completed.

          VUDU hasn't left out out in the cold with the dedicated boxes so far and I say that they have done a darn great job of keeping our boxes running after the transition to streaming only.

              This bug will be fixed. The fix is currently being tested by our QA team.

                    Two and a half months and the issue still hasn't been resolved. After QA missed the bug on the initial release of the software. Not too stellar.

                        I'm surprised this is still an issue as well. I called a CS tech about this and another issue and was told engineering would be back to me in 48hrs. That was three weeks ago.

                            I'm one of the original poster of this item along with Elwaylite. My VUDU hard drive is still showing virtually full. I refuse to pay more to my DSL provided to get a higher streaming rate. Therefore, without the spooling to the hard drive, the VUDU is useless to me. We have since started going to the Blockbuster, Redbox, and buying movies more often.

                            I fail to understand how any company in the technology business can go over 60 days after being notified of a defect affecting it's existing user base and still not have a solution. This just shows that the existing STB owners are not a priority and therefore, I won't make VUDU a priority vendor until this gets resoloved.

                              I agree. It's well past time for VUDU to have resolved this problem. There really is no excuse. We VUDU box owners ought to receive some compensation from the company for this long of a delay. Say a $20 credit to our accounts once the HD issue is resolved. Kerry Morris

                                This may have been mentioned before; if so, my apologies for any repetition. One attribute of this bug that I have observed is that none of the movies downloaded to the STB prior to the Brazil update are displayed in the "manage downloads" list. So I would imagine that these previously downloaded movies are present on the HD, yet undeletable ( is that a word? )
