Re: We Love Vudu...But Would Love To See These Changes!

One more thing along with most of the above mentioned changes. I just cannot keep up with passord change requirements. Sadly, if I'm regularly required to change my password I will jusy quit using that service. I know all the arguments but a strong password has sufficed for me in nearly a hundred other sites that do not require this.

It's your call, most folks won't bother to write to complain they just quit using the service. So when you see no more activity after a password change requirement this is probably the case.

Hmmm... I've always used the same password. The only time I had to change passwords was when they stole some files from some Vudu office and I guess for prevention they made everyone do the same I think.

What Vudu asks for it's password requirements is perfectly normal and standard. 8 characters with at least one capital letter and a number. What's so hard about remembering that? Write it down on a piece of paper and put it somewhere safe if you're that forgetful. Problem solved! It's no Vudu's call, it's yours.

I would like to see an option to un-bundle to allow all the movies to be sorted on the "my vudu" tab. it is very frustrating having to dig sometimes. I also like the idea of an HDX upgrade program from SD as well

I agree, I hate when services make me change my password!

PLEASE - PLEASE - PLEASE Give the option in VuduToGo for PC to put your downloaded files in a directory that I choose. You guys of all people should realize that NO ONE except the most ardent of technofiles is going to have the kind of room necessary to download a lot of movies and have them go onto their c:\ drive. Even computers now a days with 500GB hard drives will run out pretty quickly with all the bloatware out there. This is just ridiculous and never should have been launched without this option.

I'd like to see a "Play from Start" in addition to a "Resume" button.

After purchasing titles, I spot-check them to make sure they're ok and it would be nice to just have the option of starting the movie from the beginning when I watch it later.

I'd rather vudu work on other things. Downloading movie files to alternate locations is a feature that is already coming when CFF is deployed.

Re: We Love Vudu...But Would Love To See These Changes!

                    My wish list:

                    1. Big second to SD upgrade tp HDX option. Further vote for Upgrade to + bonus features version.
                    2. Second to Resume option.
                    3. Option to play SD, HD, HDX without starting in HDX. I've had HDX stutter so many times when it's getting started that I haven't been able to make it over to the button to switch quality.
                    4. Shortlist/ playlist option. One of my favorite things that Target Ticket beat you guys to is a playlist. I've got around 1000 movies at this point in time and when I sit down to watch a movie with friends picking one is not a smooth process. Being able to set movies into a short queue would be quite a boon. Even leaving in the +Wishlist option on movies I own would let me set them apart enough to be able to survey a list of 3 to 5 movies that don't have enough else in common to end up next to each other.
                    5. Play All/Season
                    6. ... non UV D2D for Disney movies and TV?
                    7. Last forever and never go away.

If I purchase a film in HDX, I'd like to be able to download an HDX version. Recently I tried to download 4 films that I've purchased in HDX and discovered that I could only download the HDX version for 1 of them! This really should be changed. If I've paid for HDX, I should be able to download HDX!

What movies are you referring to? On what device are you attempting to download to?

I strongly agree with the following: Incentive to buy a movie after renting it - We will often rent a movie to see if we like it, and then turn around and buy the movie. However, we can often get the movie cheaper on DVD on Amazon or Walmart's website rather than on Vudu. It would be nice if Vudu offered some sort of discount on a movie that you decide to purchase after renting it.

We are new to Vudu and love it but I agree with all those issues mentioned. I don't understand why Disney, Touchstone and Pixar are unable to be converted. Those are some of the most coveted movies we have. We now have 650 movies on Vudu yet are unable to convert the rest. I also think the upgrade charge from SD to HDX makes more sense than having to repurchase the movie. If I wanted to pay another $18 I would purchase the movie from the store with the Ultraviolet copy attached. I love the D2D option and have converted all the movies we have that are available with this option. Unfortunately we still have well over 200 more movies to convert that are not supported. I hope that Vudu watches the forum comments and sees what we, the consumers, really want.

Here's hoping for DISNEY, TOUCHSTONE AND PIXAR conversions in the future!!!!!!!!

I enjoy this service and not needing to mess around with receiving and returning bluerays and dvd's all the time. My only problem is that there is no "rent" option for old movies that I would like to see. The only option is "own". For several of these movies, I would be more than willing to rent but have absolutely no intention of ever choosing to own them. Why is this? My brother has used your service for a few years and tells me he has seen a number of movies that he, himself, has rented where renting is now no longer possible. In some cases, these movies are quite old and not even generally popular. What gives?
