Jurassic UHD at MA - Flipping from HD to UHD at VUDU - Hourly

All four Jurassic Park movies keep reverting to HDX on Vudu if you own 4K in MA (via iTunes or MA redemption)

    Then back to UHD.

    Then back to HDX.

    It changes hourly.

(This is not an issue if you have a UHD UV license).

Appears to be an irritating library management issue with MA.

Thanks Rex, I also appear to have this issue. I have it 4K in MA, it ported to iTunes & FandangoNow as 4K & my VUDU history shows that I own UHD but when I go to the title in my VUDU library, it is only HDX.

Same thing with Lucy and Pitch Perfect UHD. Seems to be Universal titles only. I've posted about this before, but MA/Vudu point the fingers at each other, with no real fix.

Its not just universal movies its also Sony as some of the Spider-Man movies are doing this too with a MA redeem. Yes my Jurassic Park movies doing the same thing. Movies Anywhere says they are aware of the issue however they said the only fix right now is to delete the movies from vudu which seems odd to me. I guess if you previously own HD versions on other services the UHD license is sometimes reverting back to HDX. So far keep calling Movies Anywhere and let them know deleting movies from Vudu is not a fix!

I am having this issue as well, only noticing it on the Jurassic Park titles. For me, it's happening with Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

Oh, I hadn't heard about any of the Spider-Man movies having the issue, all I had seen were Universal. Now the list continues to grow. MA support yesterday told me the HDX that imported into MA from other redeems is overwriting the UHD from MA, which really begs the question how hard is it for them to put out a fix where the higher quality always overwrites the less? That seems like the easiest and most logic fix.

My Jurassic Park imports seem to be sticking with UHD on Vudu (thankfully), but I have a different oddity to toss into the mix. When Vudu wasn't properly processing a MA upgrade I had to do a disconnect and a resync. That got my JP titles to UHD, but now Fate of the Furious is permanently locked as my "most recent" purchase. Titles bought/redeemed after it don't bump it off the top slot.

It's like Vudu wants to make sure I know that I have FotF ready to watch at all times.

I am having the same problem. I have UHD rights to all four movies. At first Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III were showing as UHD. The other two were showing as HDX. Then they all showed as UHD but when I tried to watch Jurassic Park I received an error message that I did not have UHD rights to it. Now Jurassic World and the Lost World are showing as UHD and the other two read HDX.

MA asked me to disconnect MA/Vudu and reconnect, and when I did that yesterday, 4 new titles I have never owned were added into my MA account, and the transactions on MA say I redeemed them by codes.... lol

Out of curiosity, what'd you end up getting?

I'm wondering if a new "connect your account" promo is coming up soon.

Looks like I spoke too soon earlier. Vudu has now downgraded my Jurassic Park films and the Fate of the Furious from UHD -> HDX.

Going to have to go through my collection later to see what else Vudu is arbitrarily downgrading.

I have this problem too. Sing is also showing HDX when I actually own UHD. Not having this problem with any other MA provider.

It seems to be impacting any title where you own multiple copies (either in UV and MA, or just multiple copies in MA).

Instead of giving you the best version that you own, Vudu is giving us the worst version that we own.

Either that, or it's giving us the earliest of the two entitlements (which is usually the HDX version because who's going to redeem a HDX code when you already have a UHD entitlement on your account)

The Greatest Showman, Captain Underpants, Despicable Me 3 and Coco all in HD - all from a different studio.

That's a nice bonus. Congrats on the free movies.
