Missing Movies In My Main Account

Today, I am missing around 600 movies from my Vudu account. I should have around 2700 and it's at 2114. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Thanks!

Everyones UV just got disconnected. All you have to do is relink your UV account.

Yes. It seems like the movies that my mother or brother have purchased are not showing up on my list. My mothers is the same. It's like our accounts are not longer linked.

Thanks! That fixed it. Do we know why everyone's account got disconnected?

This is a major issue. We shouldn't have to reconnect this manually. VUDU/Walmart needs to fix this ASAP. Who knows what sort of issues this will cause.

How do we re-link our UV account to fix this issue? Thanks!

I cannot relink? It states unexpected error and stops, will not continue to relink???

This is a serious problem. Does that mean when UV eventually goes away (and it will) we will lose all of our movies? More than 400 of my movies disappeared.

Why is calling customer care that big of a deal? They fixed mine for me?

My sincerest hope is that if UV were to officially shut down, there might be a one-time process where Vudu could import a UV library wholesale so it would remain at least usable there and through MoviesAnywhere, but UV was intended to never shut down, and to grant permanent rights, so it's definitely a weakness of the system. The other problem would be if Vudu itself ever shut down, as most of the other MA partners don't support UV at all.

Thankfully at least for MA, if you bought a movie through an MA provider, you're probably pretty safe, as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Apple are unlikely to all cease to exist.

I would really like Vudu to just preemptively do this now... make all my UV content on Vudu permanently. This will solve any issues that might/will occur in the future and save us all a whole lot of stress.

The issue is that all of these companies have complicated legal agreements around UV and MA rights. Vudu likely can't "just" decide to do this without accepting the cost of "giving" us all of those movies and TV shows "for free". (Bear in mind, Vudu has to pay the studio when it gives you a title.) It's *perhaps* possible if UV decides to officially fold, it could "sell" it's rightsholding of the UV rights to Vudu, which could then merge them in somehow, but whatever happens with it is likely to be complicated.

Allowing UV titles to "flow through" MA is an example of the sort of stopgaps they're doing to keep people's libraries intact through this transition, but who knows what they'll end up doing in the end. I'm sure MA, UV, and Vudu all know that if people lose large segments of their library, it's likely to significantly impact trust (and therefore spending) on these platforms.

Yup relinking my UV account killed most of my MA movies in Movies Anywhere. While the unlinking of UV might be a uvvu issue the now missing movies in Movies Anywhere needs to be fixed by Vudu.

Does anyone know how this effects those that were grandfathered in on the UV sharing? Does the main account holder just need to relink? I would hate to have it ruined for those that share.
