The Sony Ultra 4K app is not longer supported by Sony and was pulled from Sony TVs from the latest update. It's more important than ever for Vudu to add the SONY UHD titles stuck in our UltraViolet lockers.

There is a lot that needs to happen here! First, please address this list. Second, and more importantly, please tell us you are working these issues. And finally and most critically please tell us how and reassure us that you are working on it. If it can't be done alone please help and take ownership and partner with the UV or Fandango and possible MA resources to make it happen.

I add my support to those who wish to see these issues fixed. Clearly work is being done but I hope that our faith in UV as a locker system is rewarded somehow despite the shutdown.

Hopefully there will be a lot more Sony UHD titles added at Vudu before the UV shutdown. I have over 40 titles that I redeemed at the Sony Pictures Store as instructed on the UV code slips that came with the discs I purchased.

For some of these titles it has been around 3 years since release date, but Vudu still has been unable or unwilling to add them.

For many, our main interest is in 4K/UHD titles, so it seems to me that if Vudu wants us to spend more money with them, they should add more UHD.

Mentioning any other locker system is irrelevant to this discussion. This thread is specifically for discussing UV and Vudu.

This may have been missed with all the other discussions. It is another one hopefully VUDU will get correct resolution.

I guess this is the key difference in my case. For me, it's all "downstream" with UHD. For all my UHD purchases at other retailers, MA and UHD will hopefully eventually go "downstream" to Vudu when they are available in both MA and UHD at Vudu.

    Two things:
    1. This post is nothing to do with MA! You are overly complicating things by focusing on that locker service.
    2. Your comment above would be correct bar the fact that not every UV title is MA, nor that every UV title is marked as such on Vudu, hence why there is porting issues between UV providers. To compound things further Vudu does not offer all UV titles that are available for digital sale, or offer them in the highest definition available at other retailers.

Well considering Vudu is extremely slow adding UHD definition for Sony and Paramount titles, most people redeemed at the studio site to guarantee they got the right definition in their lockers. It should also be noted code slips until recently for Sony, still told people to redeem at Sony Picture Store. Paramount still advises to redeem on their site. That's why it is a big issue surround UHD UV rights at Vudu. Considering most physical 4K releases are $30+, it's a lot of money being spent per title. People are worried they are being screwed over! Justly so!

Vudu isn't the "only hope." There is another...
