The movie is War Dogs and I was definitely given a UV license when I purchased the movie. The movie is not in iTunes, Vudu or myuv.com anymore but is in my fandangonow ultraviolet library.

I'm guessing there are more movies missing and hopefully Vudu is working to fix this problem.

This happened with a different WB title (Shelock Holmes: A Game of Shadows). It LOST UV status in my account, was removed from my UV library, and was removed from shared accounts entirely. Two of these account holders have submitted a ticket, one is being told that it is Movies Anywhere's problem, the other was told that they are mistaken, and the the movie is in their library (which it is NOT). What a complete load of crap.

      Good luck.

        Good luck.
        Thank you!

The situation you described is identical to mine. I'm guessing we are missing over twenty movies in our shared library. I'm disappointed Vudu would remove valid licences with no explanation.

I purchased Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and that movie is in my UV library for now...

Agreed, a complete load of crap is correct. Vudu was a great service and I don't think I'll be purchasing any movies from Vudu until Vudu gets their act together.

        Again, thank you!

There's also the issue of shared vs merged libraries.

Originally, the way UV worked was that in order to share libraries, you would merge the two separate UV accounts and afterwards both UV accounts continued to exist and both had access to the now shared library. Two libraries became one, but both user accounts remained.

However, that changed a couple of years ago. Since then if you merge one UV library with another, the merged account ceases to exist. So while you could still merge libraries, only one UV account remains.

The problem is that while the UV libraries get merged, the Vudu accounts do not. You are left with two Vudu accouts and only one is linked to UV library. The second Vudu account, the one that had been linked to the now deleted UV account, will now show that it is no longer connected to any UV library.

If at any time after the merge, you create a new UV account and link it to that second Vudu account, all purchases made under that second account will be pulled out of the merged library and inserted into the newly created UV account, essentially undoing the merge.

Normally this would not be too big of a deal as all you need to do is re-merge. But if the purchases were Fox, Universal, or Warner Bros, once they get pulled they do not get re-inserted anywhere.

So if anyone ever merged libraries with someone else make sure that second Vudu account doesn't get linked to a new UV account.

I imagine that it's something similar with old Flixster accounts.

ORIGINALLY, the way it worked was that you sent an invite from Vudu to someone who would just follow the link & create their own Vudu account. Instead of asking you to create a new UV account, it just let them "Link to XXX's UV account" and that was it. There was no need to merge anything.

I had 19 "refunds" sent from VUDU to MA on 4/4-4/5 (which is shown in my MA transaction history and confirmed by MA as removal requests from VUDU).

Fortunately 18 of the titles had duplicate MA licenses as they were provided by other providers (or MA itself from when MA first launched due to HD hiccup).

These 18 stayed in my MA account but 1 title was only a VUDU insert into MA originally and was removed.

MA states it is a VUDU issue. VUDU has no record of the removals on my account. VUDU is looking into the issue.

All titles we're originally from UV or VUDU and are all UV titles. There is hypothesis something with UV may have caused it. I am hopeful and patiently awaiting the resolution as to why the 19 were removed.

Here is the list in case anyone else is also missing the same titles in their MA now.

              A Knight's Tale
              Behind Enemy Lines
              Big Trouble in Little China
              Black Beauty
              Cinderella Man
              Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
              Ferngully: The Last Rainforest
              Johnny English
              Lean on Me
              * LEGO: The Adventures of Clutch Powers
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World
              Mona Lisa Smile
              Never Been Kissed
              Radio
              Stripes
              The Bourne Ultimatum
The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of the Flyers
              The Perfect Storm
              Vegas Vacation

This is so ridiculously confusing. I merged two UV accounts years ago but still have two separate logins. Although both have identical libraries, both logins are connected to different retailers. Is there anyway to ensure that I won't lose any titles purchased outside Vudu (as well as any Fox or Universal titles) when UV finally shuts down? We were told not to unlink any UV accounts so I really don't know what to do at this point.

I believe most if not all of these titles were promotional 'freebies' from the early days of UV. They may have come from Cinemanow, Target Ticket, Flixter, and/or Vudu originally.

By the way, what does a refund on MA look like?

l don't like the way MA does their refunds because it just looks like you're buying it again. It's the same title listed but with a different date:

I was just going to mention this.

And my situation just got worse as of today. 85 more titles we're requested for MA removal resullting in 32 more movies being removed from my MA account. Haven't inventoried the list yet but unlike the first 19 this new set is not early titles.

If the ma return just happened will it have a very recent date or can it get buried as an older date? And you would think ma would show a return or removal more clearly. Just a minus in front of the title would do.

I have several of those titles and just checked on them, through the TV app they just show MA but through the website they still show MA and UV and are thankfully still sharing with my family's connected accounts. If any lose UV and stop sharing I'm going to be ****ed. If things disappear I'll take any future business to Amazon.

After further analysis, it isn't particular titles that have this happen. Any title coming from UV to VUDU that VUDU passed to MA could have this issue.

Check your MA Transaction History for any dates there is a VUDU transaction that you did not actually do any transactions with any retailer. Then check to see if any of those titles are missing.

Latest count for me is 33 titles. It happened with 19 (missing 1) on 4/5. Those transactions are no longer in my history which is odd. Then on 4/12 I had 66 more which resulted in losing 33 titles.

I'm guessing this is what happened with me. I still have two separate UV accounts with identical libraries. I only use one Vudu account though which is perhaps why I haven't noticed any missing movies. I haven't checked Fandagonow though. The MA thing really confuses me. Why would it matter if movies lose their UV license if they have already ported through MA?

I've lost at least a half dozen movies and, of course, VUDU support couldnt find any evidence that I had them..no telling how many others they deleted that I havent noticed yet. They could at least refund the money I spent to add them..I can understand if a movie no longer is on their site (most of them ARE) but they shouldnt remove movies that they still have
