Remember if the titles you bought are UV or DMA enabled, you can access them from any UV or DMA retailer...

How many are left, or even have updated apps worth talking about? Cinema now is about it. Target is gone, Flixter is going away and fandango now has no presence.

I'm just saying you might as well purchase directly from a retailer like Amazon who DOES update their apps and has a presence across all platforms. They also support DMA. This is coming from someone who bought into Vudu early.

Vudu needs to make substantial changes or at least improve their communication and discuss their roadmap. I have a Sony UHD TV, Xbox One S (UHD), Amazon Fire TV 4K (UHD), Xbox 360, PS4, Windows 10 (UHD, why not), Android Phone, etc. and apparently I need to go out and buy an LG, Visio TV or Roku 4 to be able to get an updated app. That's kind of ridiculous when Amazon can keep all their apps up to date.

Vudu as a company are making their customers frustrated. Customers want to buy on their service, but they aren't properly supporting it.

Eh? My 2016 4k Sony Android TV has no Amazon 5.1 audio support. The TV bowed November 2015.

Sony says Amazon is responsible for the development of the app.

To be fair, the Vudu app on the same TV doesn't support 4k streams which is pretty lame.

I've been asking about that in the 'VUDU UHD - Compatible Devices List' thread with no response so far.......

The new app is in beta, so it will be soon. We are still waiting on a critical XB1 firmware fix so unfortunately the actual release date may not up to VUDU.

But it will be worth the wait - the app has been rebuilt from the ground up to match design and functionality of VUDU on other living room devices.

Will the Xbox 360 be getting the updated UI? The current UI on there is terrible. Thanks.

This is exciting news. Do you have any information from Microsoft on the release date for the firmware fix? Is there anything the community can help with to push Microsoft to get this released quickly?

they finally added 5.1 from the Amazon app in OCtober. Hopefully we will still get UHD from Vudu with HDR10 at some point in the future.

Looks like the new app is out. Looks and works great. Thanks Jake and the Vudu team! Now I just need that Apple TV app!

Now all we need is HDR 10 support on VUDU.

Could we get some screen shots of the new user interface of the updated Vudu app? Also, will the new app/update be available for Sony blu-ray players?

Holy crap, the Vudu Xbox app isn't complete crap anymore!! :-) I can actually browse my collection and use filters like you can on the web site!! Sooooooo much better. Lots of nits to pick but it is pretty good now vs. previously being essentially unusable.

Can't comment on the UHD aspect as I won't be there until HDR and WCG mature a bit and testing gear comes out for review sites.

Here is a screen shot of the "My Vudu" portion for anyone who doesn't have a One yet or has some other reason they can't see it at the moment: https://1drv.ms/i/s!Ap22nCAxKBS7ma8Pbz1qObwmmHumrA
