    The Roku should be detecting that it's plugged into a TV and offering up the correct audio? I have Roku audio set to auto. Any normal person would buy a Roku, hook up to the TV and should be able to play anything correct?

    That's odd, as it works for me everytime and some others - but might have to do with the soundbar. Who knows at this point, as I've heard from others that don't that this problem at all with a Roku Ultra.

    So that would indicate that 3/2/0.1 is removing 2 of your surrounds?
    Yup exactly.

    3/4/0.1 is 7.1 audio that my AVR is reading from the stream.
    3 = Front, Center, Right
    4 = 4 surrounds
    0.1 = sub

    3/2/0.1 is 5.1 that my AVR is reading from the stream.
    3 = Front, Center, Right
    2 = 2 surrounds
    0.1 = sub

    FYI, my setup and my AVR is only 5.1 max. It can read and handle 7.1 streams, but would only output 5.1.

      Re: Rogue One - BROKEN Audio

      Latest firmware for my Ultra 7.6.0 build 4113-29 seems to have solved the 7.1 issues on Vudu.

          Re: Rogue One - BROKEN Audio

          So while the 7.6.0 update fixed the overall 7.1 audio issue in that I can at least play the movie now.....it seems I still get random audio dropouts in something like Rogue One. While watching the movie the audio will randomly drop for a sec and then come back. I'm not seeing this on any 5.1 movies thus far.

            I still can not play any Vudu 7.1 movies on my Ultra to my Vizio 5.1 sound bar. If I change them to SD which gives 5.1 sound it plays fine.

              Then it seems that your sound bar does not support 7.1. Did you check the specs to see if that's the case?

                Rogue One is 7.1
                The Force Awakens is 7.1

                I can't play either of them on my Roku today. We have previously played Force Awakens many times, so something in some settings much have changed. Also, it seems this is an issue if the audio is in 7.1, even if we just have a 5.1 setup.

                Anyone know any other titles in Vudu that are 7.1?

                  Hmmmm.....I thought 7.6.0 firmware fixed the issue. I can play Rogue One ok on my Ultra. Don't own F&F7 in UHD and HDX only does 5.1.

                    My soundbar doesn't support 7.1....so there is no way to watch HDX movies with a 7.1 track? I don't care about the 7.1, but I do care about HDX. I shouldn't have to switch to SD just to watch certain movies.

                    I am using a Roku Ultra.
