Re: Did anyone tell Walmart Stores about this?!

They seem to finally be getting up to speed. All the wal marts around me now offer the service. Oddly enough the Walmart that I had the biggest hassle with at first (the one who told me I was wrong and it was a walmart website service only) is the one with the best trained people now. I took some movies in today and it was fine. They didn't have the stamp yet, so she just wrote with a sharpy on the underside of the plastic ring, which in my opinion is much more subtle than the big walmart stamp on the top of the disc and serves the smae purpose.

Re: Did anyone tell Walmart Stores about this?!

I have done 11 movies so far 10 at the 2nd closest Walmart 'cause the closest told me that they weren't ready. I got the 11th movie done at the closest but they didn't stamp my movie and I only noticed it when I got back home. Don't know if they didn't have the stamp or if they haven't been trained to stamp them?

Have uploaded about 20 in small numbers. I tend to only buy movies I really like so my collection is small. Most every trip has a different person behind the counter. First visit the guy had been trained. The 2nd visit the guy there claimed ignorance and I left with no uploads. After that visit things settled into a learning curve for the Photo Center Techs. It's starting to approach normal now.

If the WallMart close to my house has a binder of instruction on how the d2d process should be. I'm guessing all WallMart has one too. It's true the employee's in the PhotoCenter are new and untrained at start but all I did was keep coming there with 5-10 movies at a time so every staff they have working behind that counter has done it atleast once to gain experience for future customers.

Re: Did anyone tell Walmart Stores about this?!

HaHa... I've been having the same problem. I'm sorry but that's what anyone should expect from a retail outlet such as Wal-Mart. I really wish it was with another company, because the only reason I even go to Wal-Mart is just for this process which is ridiculous!

The first time we went in there, they were like oh you have a return? That's over there at customer service... Uh no we have movies to transfer for Vudu... huh? Oh I've never done this before bear with me... ok so we did. Got our movies and left...

The following week we came in and did it again and again was greeted with, returns are over there. So we gave them the list printed from Vudu and handed it to her... Well I first need you to fill out this information with your name and the list of movies so we can see if there in the system for transfer... I'm thinking and I thought you guys were the smart ones. What do you think your holding and reading I said... Oh ok oh...

So last week we went in and the girl there was a complete ditz! Oh. you have returns? I can help you with that at customer service. No we have movies for Vudu! oh.. Uh hold on. The girl who knows us now said I'll take care of it... Oh ok... She continues to watch and comments... Oh wow $2.00 for all those movies OMG!!! That's such an awesome deal... You guys found some great deals wow... Both of us and the girl who has now done this a few times just hung our heads down with shame... She thought we were buying our movies all over again physically. I was just thinking wow please go away.

It just shows me that Wal-Mart does not train there associates on anything. I work at Fred Meyer, and even though our training isn't the best at least we are trained and instructed on all new programs before they even come out like 1-2 months prior. The latest one we have been learning here in Washington is the new liquor standard we have where all stores will now sell hard liquor starting June 1st. I wonder what Wal-Mart associates are gonna do when they start carrying that? LOL... We also have to sign off on everything as we have new standards. Oh well...

If the photo center doesn't know how to do D2D go to the Wireless center and they also can do it. The people at the wireless center are usually up on things.

The photo center at Walmart (#2309 West Chester Ohio) is a low priority to the store. It's not even staffed 50% of the time I walk up to the photo center. The store puts out a sign to see someone in electronics for assistance and they haven't got a clue what to do or do not want to deal with it. My DTD success rate on any given trip to Walmart is at best 70%. Today I had planned to shop for groceries and pet supplies after adding my DTD titles. After I was told the Photo Center wasn't even powered up for the day he handed back my Movies. I just left my cart, with cases of soft drinks, and walked out of the store.

I don't blame you...I would call the Walmart corporate headquarters and lodge a complaint. I've done that in the past and they have called me back to talk more about it.

I have a similar problem with the closest Wal-Mart to me. Half the time there is no one there. Of the 4 times I tried to go there only once was I able to get my d2d done. Because of that I just go to the next closest Wal-mart that I've had 100% success with. It's 2 miles away vs 5 blocks, but they know what they are doing and are slightly classier (Hah!) in that most of the store is cleaner and employees and customers are less annoying (that's about the nicest I can put it).

Ok after reading this I waited a few months, went to walmart in (Ozark, MO) and wow what an experience. After 30 min of different answers and a complete run-around and watching one employee completely loose it I just left. What is the deal, talk about disapointing.

Vudu anything else I can do? Please tell me I don't have to visit another store and waste 30 + of my time for nothing.

I hope you aren't expecting some sort of answer here that says you "don't have to visit another store and waste 30 + of my time for nothing". Instead of just leaving the store you should ask to speak with the store manager or call 1-800-Walmart to file a complaint and the store manager is supposed to call you.

No not necessarily but it never hurts to ask right I am going to go back and see if I can get anywhere and if not I will log a complaint.

Ya it seems that way, I did call Vudu CS and they answered very promptly, I was able to send in my receipt and they stated that they would be add but it could take up to 24 hours which is a bummer. Still nothing in either account this morning so hopefully they go through in the next few hours. So far I am not too pleased to say the least with the process but I do have several movies I would like to get added eventually.
