Re: Current UV Copies what format SD or HD

I redeemed "About last night", from the blu-ray version of the film, which I redeemed through Vudu, not another service, but received the SD version in my Vudu library. I contacted support and they told me to take a picture of the redemption card and the blu-ray case and send it to them. A couple of days later, I received an email with a new code for the HDX version of the film. Not sure what happened initially, but I'm glad the issue was taken care of.

Frankly, with TV on Blu-ray not getting any love at all, it would at least soften the blow if the distributors include HD UV codes so that least we could get high-def versions that way to compensate, but it doesn't look like most of them have been smart enough to figure that out.

Just out of curiosity, is this thread really valid anymore? When something from a Bluray doesn't redeem as HD, it is usually more a mistake than an indication that all the codes are going to redeem in SD, correct? Are there still some releases that only give a different quality copy than the type of disc that was purchased?

There is still titles that give sd instead of HD. Also this thread is not just limited to uv copies but vudu copies and there is plenty of DVD vudu codes that give HD. There is also an issue with provider and what you get. Some places like flixster and cinemanow have HD whereas vudu only has SD and vice versa so its also a matter of import and determining where you need to redeem items. For example Deliver us from Evil people are going to have to go to sony to get that fixed.

Whether the thread is still valid is up to what your using it for. I'm reporting what I find to be true. I was going to add instantwatch buys to it as well.

                    As of right now
                    1. Goodfellas
                    2. Running Scared
                    3. The Mask
                    4. Dumb and Dumber
                    5. Superbad

from the blu-bin in walmart are all hdx from instantwatch.

                    Also this

Dragonball Z Battle of the Gods vudu code from DVD - Redeemed in HDX

so that gave a better redemption than what was bought.

                    and

People are reporting Tammy from blu-ray is redeeming in SD
Once a reported fix is made etc I'm still waiting on a confirmation about deliver us from evil

A Madea Christmas from blu - nothing
the dvd apparently is the only thing instawatch

none of the indiana jones movies no matter
if its a single blu, complete collection, black friday
buy etc gives an instawatch copy still.

DOES NOT Make sense why there is so many inaccuracies.

Really??!!! I didn't know they did disk to digital for catalog Warner Bros TV Shows on DVD/Blu-ray releases. Maybe I should buy them at Walmart.

I think your misunderstanding what I wrote. The tv seasons had 2.00 off disk to digital coupons. You can't do tv shows atm.

ATm they have some 9.99 shows with 2.00 coupons on them. one is The Americans that is a pretty good deal for that show.

Think like a Man 2 bluray redeemed SD from vudu. I actually contacted Sony and they we supposed to fix it but it is only showing SD on VUDU and Flixster but shows as HD on sonypicturesstore.com. No idea wtf is going on but it is probably sony's fault.
