I talked to someone who said he got his movies to show up in his CN library after creating new account and linking. He said they showed up as "expired rentals", but still had button to play them.

I did a live chat with a different CN rep who escalated my issue to "higher technical support" who will email be back in the next day or so.

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

I just bought a cheap gift card on eBay. I'll test what happens when you buy a uv movie from them when I get home tonight. Hopefully it's a smooth process. Anyone know if they limit promo codes like vudu does?

I thin this was the service that gave a bunch of free movies away in the past. Too bad I missed out on them. I didnt bother since I figured I'd never use the service.

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

So maybe it is working a little better than I thought. While my UV movies still don't show up on My Library for their website or their PC client, it does show up on my CinemaNow apps for my PS3 and LG Smart TV. My LG was showing them twice if i went back and forth a lot. It also shows them in the "Unavailable" section, but you can still click on them and play them. One unfortunate thing is it looks like they're matching them all to SD versions even if HD version is available. And a fair number of my UV movies weren't there and TV shows aren't UV yet, But it's a start and that should be fixed eventually.

I would love to test their Android app, but the app doesn't let you login with BestBuy.com credentials (most of their apps were bad about this at one time but you could get around it).

EDIT: And they finally showed up in My Library in CinemaNow.com

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

To anyone that is interested....I'm glad this thread exists......By far VUDU is the HD leader in it's caetgory, IMO.....Nevertheless I tried an experiment with CinemaNow.....I have an account with them and can access their service via my WD Live Hub....I have downloaded a couple of SD movies to it and they're just ok.....But, the kicker of my experiment was to see if I could change the download location to my NAS, something I think CFF would allow......In the CinemaNow UI, I was able to change the download location to my network share, so I purchased, then downloaded the latest Spiderman movie in HD(looks like it may be 720P),did not look anywhere as good as VUDU HDX ......Sure enough, I was able to download it directly to my network share and into the Media Library of my Hub.......I did not even have to go into the CinemaNow UI in order to view it either, I could play it right from the Media Library......

This surprised me.........this may change, I don't know, but I got a glimpse of what UV can do.....If it is, I have 25TB of space just waiting.....

              WOO-HOO! ALL UV MOVIES LOADED!

I linked my UV & CinemaNow (CN) accounts this morning. Tonight I have all my UV movies (126) in my CN Library.

I have 2 CN devices - My LG HDTV is fully UV movie loaded but my Sony BD Player shows nothing yet. Looks like my Sony BD Player needs a CN update because it shows nothing at all for anything.

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

I was able to link my UV account to CN but when I go to my CN library it goes into a constant loading loop. I purchased a movie from CN and it went right into my UV locker but it does not show up on Vudu. I thought unlinking and relinking my UV account from Vudu would work but it does not. The good news is that UV is making progress. I agree with RandomNinjaAtk that we will see a lot more after the CES. I just really hope that the can mainstream UV and make easier for the non-tech savvy users because I personally think it so much better than iTunes but every time I see a UV thread (Outside of this forum of course) there is so much hate from people that can not figure it out. I know most of us are rocket scientist and IT guys but come on UV haters it is not that hard lol.

Same here. I bought $40 in gift credit on ebay. For some reason it gave me $50 which is nice. Once I find a movie to by I will also check to see if it goes to Vudu. My most recent free Flixster movies do not.

Did you email them? I bet they could fix it by hand.

@madmod20061 Did you buy it on the website or on a PS3 or other type of app? I ask because I noticed when I purchased Journey 2 it shows on the PS3 app for $9.95 on the website it shows $9.95 but it gives users the option to purchase the actual HD copy for $10.95. If I had bought it on my PS3 I would have gotten the SD copy. I am sure they will give you a refund. So when you bought the movie it did show up on Vudu? I wonder why mine didn't? It is probably Flixster getting back at me for all the trash I talk about them but they do suck lol!!! Were you able to load your UV library in CN?

I bought it through the Cinemanow website. It showed up right away in my Vudu movies. SD only, but not surprising since that is what CN sent to my UV account.

Well the good news is that at least it loaded into your Vudu account. When you get it replaced with the HD copy I am sure it will show up correctly. I will go back to the drawing board to figure out why I am having so many problems lol. Have a nice night man have a good Happy Thanksgiving.

Update: Woke up this morning and logged into my CinemaNow account and 154 titles are showing in my library. Every title on the website says Rental Expired. Not every title in my library is showing, but it's good to know that it is working. Must have been something on their end!

                                PS. Happy Thanks Giving Everyone!
