Now CN needs make my prior purchases UV compatible. I purchased these titles prior to CN going UV and they are not in my UV locker yet:

    Batman: Year One
    The Blind Side
    Crazy Stupid Love
    Dark Tide
    The Departed
    Green Lantern
    Haywire
    Ocean's 11
    Wedding Crashers
I just checked my Sony Blu Ray player and my UV movies are now showing up on the CinemaNow app. I haven't played any of them yet. Doesn't seem like Sony thinks much of this app as on my player the app is WAYYYYY down the list from Vudu, Amazon and Netflix.

EDIT .... I have many of my UV movies showing up in my movie list but not one of them will play! haha ...Cinema NO. I keep getting an error message DRM-337.

Good luck with that. They wouldn't respond to my requests then finally one CS rep told me I was screwed because they were bought before the agreement with Ultraviolet. I told him to forget about it and I would use a service (Vudu) that takes care of its customers.

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

I was having trouble with none of my Ultra-Violet movies that I got from Vudu and Flixster from showing up on my CinemaNow account. I fixed it by getting a full member from my Ultra-Violet group to change me from a standard member to a full member. I then went to CinemaNow.com and clicked unlink Ultra-Violet account. Then I went to uvvu.com and unlinked CinemaNow from Ultra-Violet account. Then I went back to CinemaNow.com and linked my Ultra-Violet to my CinemaNow account. I hope this helps anyone that is having issues with their CinemaNow account needs linked to their Ultra-Violet account.

What is weird is that I redeemed some promo codes on CinemaNow that gave me The Dark Knight Reborn, The Bourne Legacy, and Taken 2 for free and those movies transferred out of my CinemaNow account into Ultra-Violet account and into my Vudu account before I made any changes.

Same here and they issued a refund for it when I emailed them about it. They do seem to be improving, just very slowly.

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

Do NOT purchase the "Immediate Credit" CinemaNow gift credit on the Bestbuy.com website! I tried purchasing one today and I did not get an e-mail containing my gift credit. Contacted customer support, but the most help they gave me was "Check your spam folder". I am strongly considering filing a formal complaint with the site.

This isn't the first time I've had problems with buying one, either. One time I tried buying a $10 credit with a gift certificate and the purchase was cancelled for NO APPARENT REASON. Not only that, but the gift certificate was void even AFTER the purchase was oddly cancelled!

Just thought I would send a notice to you all: Avoid CinemaNow's Immediate Credit system on Bestbuy.com. You'll regret ever trying it. Stick with Vudu!

E55KEV, that's good to know. At least there is a fix coming in the next few weeks to be able to see these UV titles on our Sony devices. I guess I'll hold off buying a Vudu enabled device for the time being to see if this actually happens.

Re: CinemaNow & Ultraviolet Link - When?

email I received today from CinemaNow Support:

    Agent Response:

We apologize for the inconvenience. The CinemaNow app on Sony devices currently does not support UV. There is an app update scheduled for January to support UV on Sony Blu-ray and TVs.

In the meantime, if you unlink your UV account from CinemaNow account, you will be able to view your non-UV titles on your Sony device. Please note that all purchases made from the Sony device are non-UV and shouldn't pose a problem.

These purchases will not have the UV license and will also not be added to your UV account either. However, purchases from the website are likely to be UV titles and would not be displayed on a Sony.

    Again, we apologize.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you.

Okay... I think I figured it out... the UV logo is still missing from the HD version of the title I was trying to get... and the code is supposed to be for an HD/UV title so without the UV its not working...

Okay... then what am I doing wrong? when I enter the code it LOOKS like its going to take it then it does back to the cart and shows my total as the price of the movie minus the credit on my account

I have credit in my account and it worked for me. I guess that's the one benefit to not having a working library.
